| 00:00 |
gerards |
speak for yourself, i'm half dead here. |
| 00:00 |
gerards |
does anyone here have any svn experience? |
| 00:00 |
tansta |
hehehe hey uschi, gerard and all the other dead soul ;) |
| 00:00 |
uschi |
well, here it is 2:12 in the night |
| 00:01 |
uschi |
anyone a tip, why sr_feuser_register form is displayed in english? |
| 00:05 |
uschi |
ah, it is simply not translated :)) |
| 00:08 |
tansta |
hehehe |
| 00:10 |
uschi |
hm, it is translated |
| 00:11 |
tansta |
i think it is, because its a big extension |
| 00:11 |
uschi |
no, the values in question are there in the locallang.xml |
| 00:11 |
uschi |
but nevertheless i cannot see them |
| 00:13 |
uschi |
hm, i suppose my language config is not there ... |
| 00:15 |
uschi |
must have killed it at some point, but so, at least, i know what to do |
| 00:18 |
Rocketjock |
Hello Everyone |
| 00:18 |
uschi |
hello Rocketjock |
| 00:18 |
Rocketjock |
Hi uschi |
| 00:19 |
Rocketjock |
uschi: how are things in germany? |
| 00:19 |
uschi |
english |
| 00:19 |
uschi |
as far as sr_feuser_register is concerned |
| 00:19 |
uschi |
must have killed my language config *sniff* |
| 00:20 |
Rocketjock |
;( |
| 00:20 |
Rocketjock |
the new sr_feuser_register? |
| 00:28 |
uschi |
yes |
| 00:28 |
uschi |
and even after i reinserted my config for l10n it does not work |
| 00:29 |
uschi |
*sniff* |
| 00:30 |
uschi |
Website languages are installed, config is there, what else can i do? |
| 00:48 |
pulponair |
re |
| 00:49 |
uschi |
re pulponair :-((( |
| 00:49 |
gerards |
does anyone here have any svn experience? |
| 00:49 |
pulponair |
i got |
| 00:49 |
gerards |
great! |
| 00:49 |
pulponair |
uschi: whats up? |
| 00:49 |
gerards |
can i ask you a few questions? in half an hour? |
| 00:49 |
uschi |
i do not understand the docs of sr_feuser_register concerning localization |
| 00:50 |
pulponair |
gerads: if i am still awake:sure |
| 00:50 |
uschi |
i am told there that i should download the appropriate language files from somewhere |
| 00:50 |
pulponair |
uschi: not to be sad about ;) |
| 00:50 |
uschi |
i did |
| 00:50 |
gerards |
if not i can ask tomorrow. its about best practices of svn |
| 00:50 |
pulponair |
gerards: ok |
| 00:50 |
uschi |
and then i shall copy the needed languages somewhere under l10n |
| 00:50 |
pulponair |
uschi: sounds strange to me |
| 00:51 |
uschi |
and then, and this is in the docs: |
| 00:51 |
pulponair |
uschi: who told you? |
| 00:51 |
uschi |
Get the texts for different languages by the Extension Manager 'Translation handling' or download them manually form here http://jambage.com/development/l10n.tar.gz or http://jambage.com/development/l10n.zip and copy the needed language files into your folders under typo3conf/l10n. Use the EM to create these directories for the first time. |
| 00:51 |
uschi |
quote directly out of the manual |
| 00:51 |
pulponair |
uschi: yes, but why didnt you use the translation handling tool? |
| 00:52 |
uschi |
it did not download any files for sr_feuser_register |
| 00:52 |
pulponair |
uschi: i ll check that ..stay tuned |
| 00:52 |
uschi |
yes :)) |
| 00:56 |
pulponair |
uschi: ok you are rigt |
| 00:56 |
pulponair |
right |
| 00:58 |
pulponair |
uschi: ok so you have to copy it to typo3conf/extkey/langkey/pi1/iso2.lang...xml |
| 00:59 |
uschi |
mom |
| 00:59 |
pulponair |
for somereasons the files are double "sorted" |
| 00:59 |
uschi |
i unzipped the file |
| 01:00 |
pulponair |
uschi: :wait there is an easier way |
| 01:03 |
pulponair |
uschi: : |
| 01:03 |
uschi |
yes? |
| 01:03 |
pulponair |
try to copy all files to the pi1 dir of the extension itself |
| 01:03 |
pulponair |
(should work) |
| 01:04 |
uschi |
ok |
| 01:04 |
uschi |
can you tell me why they make things so complicated? |
| 01:04 |
pulponair |
uschi: that is t3 philosphy ;) |
| 01:04 |
pulponair |
uschi: please report back if it worked |
| 01:05 |
uschi |
ok |
| 01:05 |
uschi |
fuck, permission denied, grumbles |
| 01:06 |
pulponair |
change permissions or use quixplorer |
| 01:06 |
uschi |
change the permissions |
| 01:08 |
uschi |
somehow i still did not get it right with all this setfacl-stuff |
| 01:08 |
pulponair |
acl? |
| 01:09 |
uschi |
yes |
| 01:09 |
pulponair |
hmm |
| 01:09 |
pulponair |
you did try uploading via ftp right?` |
| 01:09 |
uschi |
well somehow the apache and i have to come to peace |
| 01:09 |
uschi |
sftp |
| 01:09 |
pulponair |
unix target system? |
| 01:09 |
uschi |
yes |
| 01:09 |
uschi |
gentoo |
| 01:10 |
pulponair |
quick n dirty: chmod 777 pi1 |
| 01:10 |
uschi |
no, never |
| 01:10 |
pulponair |
or chown -R ftpuser.www-data |
| 01:10 |
pulponair |
chmod -R 770 |
| 01:10 |
pulponair |
or just use the quixplorer |
| 01:10 |
uschi |
why not doing it with acl, it is easy |
| 01:10 |
uschi |
if you do it right |
| 01:10 |
pulponair |
hehe yes |
| 01:10 |
uschi |
i forgot to set the default acl |
| 01:11 |
uschi |
i gave it to apache but not to myself |
| 01:11 |
pulponair |
i personally dont like acl ...no need for that on webservers |
| 01:11 |
uschi |
oh their is need for that |
| 01:11 |
pulponair |
depends |
| 01:11 |
pulponair |
anyway did it work? |
| 01:12 |
uschi |
did not do anything, cannot type here, search for my acl notes and ... |
| 01:12 |
uschi |
wait, will only take another two hours :)) |
| 01:12 |
pulponair |
hehe |
| 01:13 |
uschi |
ok, perhaps we both should go to bed and do everything after a half night's sleep |
| 01:14 |
pulponair |
uschi: hehe |
| 01:17 |
pulponair |
uschi: i took in hand to have my hair done tomorrow ...."angst essen seele auf;)" |
| 01:17 |
uschi |
why do you do it then? |
| 01:18 |
pulponair |
uschi: it has to be done i am almost blind already ;) |
| 01:18 |
uschi |
ok, if it is only todays and we do not into account that it is tomorrow right now ... |
| 01:19 |
pulponair |
tomorrow = the day after havin taken "sleep" |
| 01:19 |
uschi |
right |
| 01:22 |
uschi |
still english, pulponair |
| 01:23 |
pulponair |
you have to delete the locallang.xml file |
| 01:23 |
uschi |
aaah |
| 01:23 |
pulponair |
(i guess) |
| 01:23 |
pulponair |
to enable the "fallback" probably ;) |
| 01:24 |
pulponair |
*crossfingers* |
| 01:24 |
uschi |
i shall rename it |
| 01:24 |
pulponair |
yes |
| 01:24 |
pulponair |
good idea :) |
| 01:24 |
uschi |
there is a locallang.php as well |
| 01:25 |
pulponair |
kick it |
| 01:25 |
uschi |
really? |
| 01:26 |
pulponair |
sure |
| 01:26 |
pulponair |
i.e rename it |
| 01:26 |
pulponair |
in pi1 |
| 01:26 |
uschi |
worked, even if i did not do any harm to locallang.php |
| 01:26 |
uschi |
not even renaming it |
| 01:26 |
pulponair |
ok |
| 01:27 |
pulponair |
there we go |
| 01:27 |
uschi |
great, that problem is solved |
| 01:27 |
pulponair |
uschi: note that you have to rename locallang.xml again when updating the extension |
| 01:27 |
uschi |
and susi.sensibel can register herself, confirm her registration, forgetting her password |
| 01:27 |
uschi |
yes |
| 01:28 |
uschi |
this is like with rte |
| 01:28 |
uschi |
i hacked the js in order to keep my entities |
| 01:28 |
pulponair |
ok ... |
| 01:29 |
uschi |
only the german is awful sometimes, well, that is at least something i CAN do |
| 01:29 |
pulponair |
finally if have to go sleep now |
| 01:29 |
uschi |
good night, till tomorrow :))) |
| 01:30 |
pulponair |
uschi: try http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/llxmltranslate/2.2.0/ |
| 01:30 |
pulponair |
makes things easier |
| 01:30 |
pulponair |
i am out |
| 01:30 |
uschi |
i know |
| 01:30 |
pulponair |
bye |
| 01:30 |
uschi |
ciao |
| 01:31 |
uschi |
shit, there are still english in the select lists |
| 01:31 |
pulponair |
uschi: probably not translated |
| 01:31 |
uschi |
only those coming from static info tables |
| 01:32 |
pulponair |
uschi: there is a german static info table |
| 01:32 |
uschi |
countries and languages |
| 01:32 |
pulponair |
uschi: yes right |
| 01:32 |
uschi |
i know, and it is installed! |

i have a site setup and i put some text on my front page but is not displaying, i have cleared frontend cache and my browsers cache. |
| 01:55 |
tansta |
hi guys, what do i need to do to stop typo3 from adding <p class="bodytext"> to certain content element ? |
| 02:02 |
gerards |
change the HTMLparser for that content element. |
| 02:03 |
tansta |
gerards: how do i do that |
| 02:03 |
tansta |
? |
| 02:08 |
gerards |
if you use ts object viewer to look at your content element, you will see that the attribute="bodytext" is added to all the <p> tags of your CE. |
| 02:08 |
gerards |
unless its already got a class attribute, in which case the HTMLparser does nothing |
| 02:08 |
gerards |
where does the <p> tag come from? |
| 02:09 |
gerards |
it comes from your RTE inthe BE. |
| 02:09 |
gerards |
the RTE wraps all lines with a p tag (i think). |
| 02:09 |
gerards |
hth |
| 02:16 |
tansta |
hmmm... |
| 02:16 |
tansta |
let me see |
| 02:17 |
tansta |
no you're nto |
| 02:17 |
tansta |
not |
| 02:20 |
tansta |
gerards: so if i set htmlParser = 0, that will stop it ? |
| 02:22 |
gerards |
yes. |
| 02:22 |
gerards |
but i don't kow if you want to do that. |
| 02:23 |
tansta |
lib.parseFunc_RTE.nonTypoTagStdWrap.HTMLparser = 0 |
| 02:23 |
tansta |
is that correct ? |
| 02:23 |
gerards |
nope. |
| 02:23 |
tansta |
oh :) |
| 02:23 |
gerards |
oh wait i might be wrong... |
| 02:24 |
tansta |
that didn't work any way, i still get the <p class="bodytext"> :) |
| 02:24 |
gerards |
oh no. i'm right. |
| 02:24 |
tansta |
hehehe |
| 02:24 |
gerards |
i'm usually right, i just don't know it. |
| 02:25 |
tansta |
what are you wrong and right about ? |
| 02:25 |
gerards |
;) |
| 02:25 |
tansta |
hahaha |
| 02:25 |
tansta |
that's confident |
| 02:25 |
tansta |
see you're that old |
| 02:25 |
gerards |
i thought the class="bodytext" is added by RTE in the BE. but its not. i think its added by the HTMLparser. |
| 02:26 |
tansta |
but that setting seems to have no effect |
| 02:26 |
tansta |
do i have to clear BE cache or anything ? |
| 02:27 |
gerards |
ahh yes. try clearing the FE cache. |
| 02:28 |
tansta |
that didn't work either :) |
| 02:29 |
gerards |
yeah well... i don't really want to work... but checkout tsref. http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/references/doc_core_tsref/4.0.0/view/5/14/ |
| 02:30 |
tansta |
okay cool thanks dude :) |
| 02:31 |
gerards |
yeah as you can see from the link i just sent you, nonTypoTagStdWrap is only for the special typo3 tags i.e. <link>, <typolist> etc. |
| 02:32 |
gerards |
<p> is not a typo3 tag. is a plain pure beautiful vanilla html tag. |
| 02:32 |
gerards |
that's why it should work. |
| 02:33 |
tansta |
oh great |
| 02:35 |
gerards |
you can also see that encapsLines as an nonWrappedTag |
| 02:35 |
gerards |
this means that lines that end with the newline are encapsulated in a <p> tag. |
| 02:36 |
gerards |
i think.... |
| 02:36 |
gerards |
getting old... |
| 02:36 |
gerards |
try doing lib.parseFunc.nonTypo_whatever_stdwrap.encapsLines.nonWrappedTag > |
| 02:37 |
gerards |
probably not what you want as a final production code, but its a fun experiment. |
| 02:39 |
gerards |
probably what you want is lib.parseFunc.nonTypo_whatever_stdwrap.encapsLines.addAttributes.P.class > |
| 02:39 |
gerards |
please try it. if i do it for you, then your client will have to pay me. and we don't want that right? |
| 02:39 |
gerards |
;) |
| 02:42 |
tansta |
hehehe |
| 02:42 |
tansta |
okay i will try |
| 02:43 |
gerards |
good luck dude. i'll be moving back to your time zone within this year. |
| 02:43 |
gerards |
we can help each other more then. |
| 02:47 |
tansta |
woo hoo that works |
| 02:47 |
tansta |
but it applies to all p tag :) |
| 02:47 |
tansta |
now i gotta find away to only apply it to certain element :( |
| 02:54 |
tansta |
there's a better way of doing it, stuff typoScript :) |
| 02:54 |
tansta |
use #pevent .bodytext and then style it kekeke |
| 04:08 |
d|g |
hi all |

hi Jigal :) |
| 05:57 |
uschi |
what about my birthday, dax77? |
| 06:07 |
uschi |
morning Jigal :) |
| 06:08 |
zatmania |
hi all typoters |
| 06:09 |
dax77 |
uschi: happy birthday :) |
| 06:09 |
dax77 |
hi zatmania |
| 06:10 |
uschi |
you know exactly what i mean, dax77 |
| 06:10 |
uschi |
dax77, can you answer one of my what-does-it-do-questions of the day? |
| 06:11 |
dax77 |
uschi: I talked to jeff last night and he is in contact with the guys writing the party-framework. they are having the same problem and are about to start a project dealing with that |
| 06:11 |
uschi |
aaah, that sounds interesting, the whole party thing |
| 06:11 |
dax77 |
uschi: I can try |
| 06:11 |
Jigal |
good morning! |
| 06:11 |
uschi |
is there something going on? |
| 06:12 |
dax77 |
where? with party? |
| 06:12 |
uschi |
yes |
| 06:12 |
dax77 |
I think so |
| 06:12 |
uschi |
it is not my birthday Jigal :) |
| 06:12 |
Jigal |
I don't care :-) |
| 06:13 |
Jigal |
Let's pretend it is :-) |
| 06:13 |
dax77 |
Jigal: uschi is always asking for a birthday and a party framwork ;) |
| 06:13 |
dax77 |
+e |
| 06:13 |
uschi |
it is about not being able to deal with my birthday in typo3 because i have been born nearly 10 years before unixtime |
| 06:13 |
dax77 |
Jigal: I told her to do it like any other woman: make yourself 15 years younger ;) |
| 06:16 |
dax77 |
dang, I hate it when that happens |
| 06:16 |
Jigal |
uschi: there was an issue with a unix library a few years ago; for years it had been spitting out negative timestamps for birth dates like mine. Developers noticed that timestamps before January 1st, 1970 were 'undefined' in the specs and decided that it was wise to spit out a (undefined) value instead of negative timestamps >>> |
| 06:17 |
uschi |
look, there are workarounds |
| 06:17 |
Jigal |
They obviously didn't mind the fact that loads of applications depended on negative timestamps. I thought that PHP fixed that in later releases. (looking it up) |
| 06:17 |
dax77 |
but not when calculating with negative timestamps |
| 06:17 |
dax77 |
Jigal: its not |
| 06:20 |
Jigal |
Caution |
| 06:20 |
Jigal |
Before PHP 5.1.0, negative timestamps were not supported under any known version of Windows and some other systems as well. Therefore the range of valid years was limited to 1970 through 2038. |
| 06:20 |
Jigal |
http://nl2.php.net/manual/en/function.mktime.php |
| 06:20 |
uschi |
i know, Jigal, but there was always pear date |
| 06:21 |
uschi |
apart from being a classicist i also studied history |
| 06:21 |
uschi |
so i had to deal with that kind of stuff all the time |
| 06:21 |
Jigal |
uschi: there are a lot of developers who aren't big fans of the pear libraries (for various reasons) |
| 06:22 |
uschi |
i can undestand this, but pear::date is an exception |
| 06:22 |
uschi |
it is marvelous and works without pear :) |
| 06:22 |
uschi |
and, by the way |
| 06:22 |
Jigal |
there is no real reason for not supporting negative timestamps, especially not because it had been working on unix/linux systems for years... |
| 06:22 |
uschi |
even if it does not work for php4, perhaps one could implement a different handling when php5 is used? |
| 06:24 |
Jigal |
(back then I wrote my own library with _time(), etc. functions; perhaps it was based on pear :: date code?) |
| 06:26 |
Jigal |
some people also thought it would be handy to make the timestamp support float (or even double); you immediately have sub second precision :-P |
| 06:28 |
Jigal |
IIRC TYPO3 uses an INT database field to store dates. why not use a MySQL DATE or DATETIME field? The range is big enough for most purposes (unfortunately not Roman history) |
| 06:37 |

how did your user_registration go? |

I fixed my md5 issues |
| 07:15 |
uschi |
i did not have any |
| 07:15 |
dokma |
the error was passwordAtMost = 16 |
| 07:15 |
uschi |
oh, yes, that is bad, if you use md5 |
| 07:15 |
dokma |
but it is sort of a but |
| 07:15 |
dokma |
length is not compared to the actual length |
| 07:15 |
koomi |
moin |
| 07:15 |
dokma |
but to the md5 hash length |
| 07:15 |
uschi |
yeah, read your comment in the bugtracker |
| 07:16 |
dokma |
I found another bug in th_mailformplus |
| 07:16 |
dokma |
triggered by the newlogin box |
| 07:18 |
dokma |
I don't see the comment to that issue |
| 07:18 |
dokma |
did it get deleted? |
| 07:18 |
dokma |
I dont see the issue |
| 07:20 |
dokma |
uschi does password forgot works for you? |
| 07:20 |
uschi |
yes |
| 07:20 |
dokma |
interesting |
| 07:20 |
uschi |
dokma, have you seen, that a new version came out yesterday? |
| 07:21 |
dokma |
it did not work for me until I've put users sysfolder pid into the general records storage of my root page |
| 07:21 |
uschi |
i did not |
| 07:21 |
dokma |
interesting |
| 07:22 |
dokma |
I was debugging md5fepw and I realized it is not fetching my users folder pid |
| 07:22 |
dokma |
because it was trying to find it by scaning the rootline |
| 07:22 |
dokma |
but since my forgot password was on every page |
| 07:22 |
dokma |
it could not find the storage folder |
| 07:22 |
dokma |
so I tricked it by puting the storage folder into the root page |
| 07:23 |
dokma |
is your login box on one page only? |
| 07:23 |
uschi |
is not there a config option to set the user folder via ts? |
| 07:23 |
uschi |
currently yes |
| 07:23 |
dokma |
for sr_feuser_register there is |
| 07:25 |
dokma |
uschi I just read md5fepw manual |
| 07:25 |
dokma |
cannot see where would be the option to set the storage folder |
| 07:26 |
uschi |
you should read the newloginbox-docs i guess |
| 07:26 |
dokma |
I did set that for newloginbox |
| 07:27 |
dokma |
but if you would read md5fepw code |
| 07:27 |
dokma |
you will realize that when the forgot password is setn |
| 07:27 |
dokma |
it is md5fepw that must reset tha password |
| 07:27 |
uschi |
yes |
| 07:27 |
dokma |
and thus must know where the users are |
| 07:27 |
dokma |
so it is md5fepw that needs that setting |
| 07:28 |
dokma |
there is a piece of code in md5fepw that scans the rootline |
| 07:28 |
dokma |
looking for general storage records |
| 07:28 |
uschi |
yes |
| 07:28 |
dokma |
and uses the first one it finds as a user storage folder |
| 07:28 |
dokma |
so if your new login box is not on the first page which you created by following |
| 07:29 |
dokma |
sr_feuser_register manual (which requires a general records storage set) |
| 07:29 |
dokma |
md5fepw cannot find the users |
| 07:29 |
dokma |
did that make sense? |
| 07:30 |
uschi |
i am not sure, my mind is still twisted |
| 07:30 |
dokma |
the error manifests by email being sent that there is no user with that email |
| 07:31 |
dokma |
i checked the sql being executed and the exact reason is the pid field which gets compared to 0 |
| 07:31 |
dokma |
instead to the real users storage pid |
| 07:31 |
dokma |
because it did not find that general records storage pid |
| 07:31 |
dokma |
it is all from the debugger so it is reliable |
| 07:31 |
dokma |
you can test it like this |
| 07:32 |
dokma |
insert your newloginbox to a page that does not have general records storage pid set nowhere in the root line |
| 07:32 |
dokma |
and password forgot will stop working |
| 07:32 |
dokma |
it will send emails |
| 07:32 |
dokma |
but it will claim it cannot find user with that email |
| 07:33 |
uschi |
ok, i will try that immediately |
| 07:38 |
uschi |
fon, takes time |
| 07:39 |
dokma |
you can simply insert newloginbox to any page as a content record |
| 07:39 |
dokma |
just for the test |
| 07:41 |
uschi |
i cannot handle phone calls an newloginboxes at the same time although i am a woman |

Hello. I'nve got typo3 on a webserver where exec() is forbidden. I know that I should be able to allow it via .htavess with AddHandler php-cgi .php .php4, but where do I best put it? If I put it in the root, the browser wants me to download the file, if I put it in install/mod, nothing changes. |
| 07:41 |
uschi |
now my colleague comes, so some further delay |
| 07:42 |
Layna |
warnign from PHP: Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /Users/<removed>/htdocs/typo3/typo3_src-4.1.1/typo3/sysext/install/mod/class.tx_install.php on line 1927 |

sorry for putting so much pressure on you :D :P |

.htaccess |
| 07:44 |
dokma |
and it does not have to me that it is enables |
| 07:44 |
dokma |
are you sure it is enables and you are on Apache? |
| 07:45 |
uschi |
dokma, sorry, i do not have this problem |
| 07:45 |
Layna |
the wrong filename is right on the server.... and good question about it being enabled. Except for having effects when I put it in root, how do I check? |
| 07:45 |
dokma |
are you sure you've put it on a page that has no general records storages set to users folder page? |
| 07:45 |
uschi |
yes! |
| 07:45 |
dokma |
effects are enough |
| 07:46 |
dokma |
uschi: thats funny |
| 07:46 |
Layna |
then it is enabled, and it'S definitely apache. |
| 07:46 |

how does your md5fepw knows where the users are |

anyway... where to put .htaccess? Or is the entry I put there wrong? Just found the one I put into the file on the net... |
| 07:49 |
dokma |
Layna I am not all that convinced that exec() can be reenabled |
| 07:49 |
dokma |
it is a pretty big security hole |
| 07:49 |
dokma |
why do you need it? |
| 07:51 |
Layna |
because without it, imageMagick won't cooperate with typo3, and without it, it seems I cannot upload images properly |

I see |

I thought it works via gd |

which does not require im |

it should be somewhere in the install tool |

anyone else? |

gd? What's that short for? if yes, it's eitehr not activated, or it wonÄt cooperate with jpeg... |

koomi: we use a modified version ofrf_content_comments |
| 08:15 |
koomi |
tobi: what did you change? i need something robust for our uni website and i don't really want to worry about it. |
| 08:15 |
umc |
can anyone please tell me why my Items list is empty if I want to create a new template and need to add some items in the "Include static:" list ? Normally there should be something like "template; TU", "template; NEWSLETTER", etc... |
| 08:15 |
helli_t3w |
morning Jigal |
| 08:16 |
tobi |
hm i changed the way it caches, i think helli_t3w addet something for the linebreaks |
| 08:16 |
umc |
when I used the testsite, it had all those in there, but now I'm struggling with a clean install |
| 08:16 |
umc |
do I need to add some extension or something to get items in that "Include static" section ? |
| 08:16 |
koomi |
tobi: so nothing in-depth? just some cosmetic changes? |
| 08:17 |
tobi |
the caching thing was quite important, it was one of those "cool" $GLOBALS['TSFE']->nocache extensions |
| 08:17 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: Usually some default templates are included within the Typo3 installation. There are no extensions required for them |
| 08:17 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: gimme a sec |
| 08:17 |
umc |
but that list is empty for me :( |
| 08:18 |
helli_t3w |
koomi: i also added some little things to prevent comment spam |
| 08:18 |
umc |
I'm reading a tutorial about Direct mail, and it says that I need to create a template on some page, and in that section I should have selected "content (default)" and "plugin.feadmin.dmailsubscrip...", but I have nothing there |
| 08:18 |
koomi |
helli_t3w: that's really important |
| 08:19 |
koomi |
tobi, helli_t3w: did you think about adding your "fork" to the ter? |
| 08:19 |
helli_t3w |
koomi: we also have added a backend modul to review all comments.. |
| 08:19 |
koomi |
helli_t3w: ok. just send me your t3x :) |
| 08:19 |
helli_t3w |
it's more a dirty hack then a fork |
| 08:19 |
helli_t3w |
to be honest i would recommand to use another ext |
| 08:20 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: Direct mail << Do you have the required extension installed? |
| 08:20 |
umc |
yes, I do |
| 08:20 |
umc |
also Address list and Direct Mail Subscription |
| 08:21 |
koomi |
helli_t3w: well. there's nothing really good out there. sk_pagecomments looked good but proofed to be rather poor, eluna_pagecomments wasn't that good either |
| 08:21 |
koomi |
so i'm not sure which extension to use. it's probably not a good idea to pick a random extension for fe user interaction - security, spam, etc |
| 08:22 |
helli_t3w |
tobi and i also need a new extension |
| 08:22 |
umc |
|--Holy_Devil--|: in the "Include static (from extensions)" section the Items list is full of items... so that seems ok |
| 08:23 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: The "Include static:" section does not have the default templates |
| 08:23 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: ? |
| 08:24 |
helli_t3w |
koomi: if i have some time the weekend i'm going to write an comment ext. |
| 08:24 |
beev0r |
anyone using th_specialelements here? |
| 08:25 |
umc |
|--Holy_Devil--|: no, it's completelly empty |
| 08:26 |
koomi |
helli_t3w: that would be great. |
| 08:26 |
umc |
just a sec, I'll make a screenshot |
| 08:27 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: Strange, never faced such a problem... gimme a while to lookup |
| 08:27 |
helli_t3w |
koomi: kann you write me a mail whats good and whats bad in the other extensions? |
| 08:30 |
umc |
|--Holy_Devil--|: I'm also googleing arround, but to no avail so far. I thought that some of you guys had some similar problem... if you want to see a screenshot, here it is: http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5834/typo3akv7.jpg |

Hi everyone - I want to place a template-switcher on my typo3-site. But, I don't find no tutorial, info, howto, whatever about this topic. Maybe I'm just searching on the wrong places and/or for the wrong keywords. Would you pls gimme a link or the right keyword to search for !? Thx a lot |
| 08:47 |
Jangla |
I have a particularly perplexing problem I'd like to put out there: I have a site which uses a drop down menu populated from the pages within a sysfolder. Each item in the menu is a property name. I want to be able to have the capacity of the property in brackets after the property name but only in the menu and not on the actual property page. Normally I think this could be done by putting... |
| 08:47 |
Jangla |
...the property name and the capacity in the subtitle field and using that in the drop down but the property pages are actually a shortcut to another sub page so the subtitle field isn't available. |
| 08:47 |
Jangla |
Sooo, is there any way of doing this? I was thinking of somehow stripping the capacity off the page but I don't know where to begin with this one! :) |
| 08:49 |
koomi |
tilman_: a template switcher for the frontend user, one for the backend? css only or the whole html structure? what kind of template do you use right now? |
| 08:50 |
koomi |
Jangla: i'm confused. |
| 08:50 |
Jangla |
koomi - you wanna see the site so you can understand better? |
| 08:50 |
tilman_ |
koomi: I'm not looking for style-switcher (css), but for a selector for the FE-User to chose his favorite template |
| 08:50 |
koomi |
Jangla: jep. |
| 08:50 |
Jangla |
http://www.holiday-chateau.com |
| 08:51 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: go to install-tool |
| 08:51 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
use "DB-Compare" |
| 08:51 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
search for "import static data" |
| 08:51 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
import static-templates |
| 08:51 |
koomi |
tilman_: hmm. you could probably do that via GPvar and a condition in your ts setup. check for mySwitch, if value = 1: use xzy as template file, else use asd as template file |
| 08:52 |
umc |
I'll try |
| 08:52 |
koomi |
Jangla: yay! i like the country thinggie :) |
| 08:52 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
umc: That should solve the problem. Let me know if it works :) |
| 08:52 |
Jangla |
koomi - lol nice eh?! :) |
| 08:53 |
koomi |
Jangla: except the js for next_page does not work in konqueror |
| 08:53 |
tilman_ |
koomi: Another general question - TS-Setup for a template is getting very large, can I split it up in some files and put it together in the page-object ? |
| 08:53 |
koomi |
tilman_: you can create extension templates and include them in your main template. |
| 08:54 |
Jangla |
koomi - Konqueror makes up 0.05% of our visitors so that's a bug we'll just have to accept :) |
| 08:54 |
umc |
|--Holy_Devil--|: in the install tool I have that 10 items menu there... Database analyser, Clean up database... I don't see any DB-compare... probably I'm looking at the wront menu ? :-? |
| 08:54 |
tilman_ |
when I define an extension-template ( I know how to do that already ) and define there things like temp.xyz, will I be able to access em in main-template by the names ? |
| 08:55 |
Jangla |
koomi - anyway, the drop down needs to have the capacity in brackets after the property name (which I would probably have to enter in the page title manually) but obviously I don't want this text to appear on the actual property page. |
| 08:55 |
koomi |
Jangla: well. i think safari uses more or less the same engine. |
| 08:55 |
tobi |
tilman_: just create your extension templates in a sysfolder and include them with "Include basis template:" than you can access everything |
| 08:55 |
koomi |
http://www.holiday-chateau.com/chateau_directory/rhone_alps_provence/chateau_de_meouil/general_history/ |
| 08:55 |
tilman_ |
ok, thx |
| 08:56 |
koomi |
this would be your property page? |
| 08:56 |
Jangla |
koomi - yup |
| 08:56 |
koomi |
Jangla: i still don't get what your problem is :) |
| 08:58 |
Jangla |
koomi - the Chateau Directory drop down menu needs to have the sleeping capacity of the property in brackets after the property name (which I would probably have to enter in the page title manually) but obviously I don't want this text to appear on the actual property page in the title. For example, the chateau de meouil page you just went to should have, for example, Chateau de Meouil (24)... |
| 08:58 |
Jangla |
...in the drop down menu, but only Chateau de Meouil on the actual property page. |
| 09:00 |
koomi |
Jangla: you could probably mis-use some other field for that - like author. |
| 09:01 |
Jangla |
koomi - but the property page type is Shortcut so there is no author field. It has to be a shortcut to the first sub page Introduction for the rest of the page to work |
| 09:03 |

if susi.sensible goes on the edit profile page there is a link that says: delete this account |
| 09:06 |
uschi |
if susi cklicks this, nothing happens at all |
| 09:06 |
dokma |
hmmm |
| 09:06 |
dokma |
didn't happen to me |
| 09:07 |
uschi |
perhaps i have to configure something to make it work? |

koomi - there is one possibility..each property has a number of amenities which are defined in the back end in a flexform. If I could somehow extract that value from the flexform I could easily use it in the drop down and not the page title. |
| 09:13 |
Jangla |
only trouble is I've no clue how to do that :) |
| 09:15 |
dokma |
uschi |
| 09:15 |
uschi |
yes? |
| 09:15 |
dokma |
look at this line from the record delete function |
| 09:15 |
uschi |
here i am to listen and read |
| 09:15 |
dokma |
if ($this->conf['delete']) |
| 09:15 |
dokma |
next line is |
| 09:16 |
dokma |
If deleting is enabled |
| 09:16 |
dokma |
so it might be you did not enable deleting? |
| 09:16 |
uschi |
ah, how do i enable deleting then. am i blind and do not read my rtfm properly? |
| 09:17 |
dokma |
$this->conf['delete'] translates directly into plugin.xxx.delete |
| 09:17 |
uschi |
ahaaaa |
| 09:17 |
dokma |
so what you put into plugin.xxx.delete |
| 09:17 |
dokma |
will appear in that variable |
| 09:17 |
dokma |
but it is probably on by default |
| 09:17 |
dokma |
I'll check mine now |
| 09:18 |
uschi |
but if delete is not enabled then the link should not show up at all, do not you agree? |
| 09:18 |

ack |
| 09:18 |
dokma |
I do |
| 09:18 |
dokma |
that was strange to me also |
| 09:18 |
dokma |
next check checks if the user is logged in |
| 09:19 |
dokma |
my delete is on 1 |
| 09:20 |
dokma |
there are 2 more that are checked in the code |

dokma |
fe_userEditSelf = 1 |

all in the constants or in the setup? |
| 09:21 |
uschi |
because i do not find delete in the constants editor |
| 09:21 |
dokma |
I don't know where it should be put |
| 09:21 |
dokma |
I see it in the object browser |
| 09:21 |
dokma |
do you know object browser? |
| 09:22 |
uschi |
yes, good idea |
| 09:23 |

hm, seems there is no constant for it, so directly in setup, dokma |

again, which version are you using |
| 09:24 |
dokma |

| 09:24 |
uschi |
the one from yesterday? |
| 09:24 |
uschi |
because franz holzinger made some changes |

yesterday |
| 09:25 |
dokma |
sr_feuser_register 2.5.6 |

dokma, the version from yesterday has the very same version number |
| 09:25 |
dokma |
where did you see that he made changes? |

do you remember the procedure? |

dokma |
really? |
| 09:34 |
dokma |
I'm thinking how everything is working for me now |
| 09:34 |
uschi |
there was no update arrow, but beneath that you can still overwrite the files |
| 09:34 |

I might add unneeded work if I install new version |

but: |
| 09:49 |
dokma |
:) |
| 09:49 |
uschi |
one more question |
| 09:49 |
uschi |
there is also a display mode delete, if you insert the plugin on a page |
| 09:49 |
uschi |
do i have to set up such a page? |
| 09:50 |
dokma |
hmm, don't quite get you |
| 09:50 |
dokma |
what is display mode delete? |
| 09:51 |
uschi |
if i insert the plugin, i can also choose the display mode delete, like Default, Create, Edit and so on |
| 09:55 |
uschi |
if i insert the plugin with that display mode, and susi.sensibel calls this page via url, she gets deleted |
| 09:56 |
dax77 |
poor susi ;) |

I need an onkeyup event on the rtehtmlarea.. any ideas? |
| 10:31 |
uschi |
dokma, i have bad news |
| 10:31 |
uschi |
susi.sensible cannot login directly after she has confirmed her registration |
| 10:32 |
uschi |
she has to click password forgotten and then she can use the new password |
| 10:32 |
uschi |
that one, of course, she can change again |
| 10:32 |
uschi |
i must say i do find configuring this ext a nightmare |
| 10:54 |
uschi |
yes, Fanty |
| 10:55 |
uschi |
if you use FF with webdeveloper extension and you select the parts you want to see and then choose view selection source |
| 10:58 |
uschi |
perhaps it might also help to install firebug |
| 11:01 |
Fanty |
uschi: nice thanks |
| 11:01 |
uschi |
you are welcome :) |
| 11:02 |

| 11:02 |

My site was developed by another team and I've taken over. I've looked everywhere for the T3_onloadWrapper but can't find where it's defined. Can anyone give me some clues?! :) or alternatively, how can I add more functions to the existing ones in the wrapper? |

I tried isntallign the nromal one (with config and make and all that), I tried all paths that could possibly be right, I tried installing a statically linked ImageMagic... but nothign is ever foudn by typo 3 install tool |

dokma |
would you like me to help you setup the debugger and learn how to use it? |

| 11:27 |
dokma |
ahh so there is no im at all? |
| 11:28 |
dokma |
did you dig into gd? |
| 11:28 |
layna |
it is on the server, I did put it there |
| 11:28 |
layna |
and I did, but gd doesnÄ't solve it all... but the gd-functions work by now ;) |
| 11:29 |
layna |
and as I said, at least my right are correct now.... just the silly thing refuses to find ImageMagic, and I am runnign out of folders to try |
| 11:29 |

not at the moment, my colleague susan is here, and we have to discuss some things beyond sr_feuser_register |

say, if you had a list of products. do any of you code your own plugin to display said products, or do you use a public extension? |
| 11:34 |
dokma |
layna why don't you look for image magic from the shell ? |
| 11:35 |
dokma |
fred did you check tt_products? |
| 11:35 |
layna |
I did.... and I just ran into yet another discovery. Do I need the path to Magick-config ??? |
| 11:36 |
fred^ |
should have been more clear. the purpose of it is to display 4 products for ADSL Personal and ADSL Buisness repspectively. no need for tt_products |
| 11:37 |
fred^ |
at the moment im just using faq extension |
| 11:37 |

but it does have some issues |
| 11:39 |
dokma |
hmmm fred |
| 11:39 |
dokma |
can't help u there |
| 11:40 |
dokma |
layna can't tell |
| 11:41 |
layna |
pity.... but I ran into my weird error again when givign a path to that one.... that is, teh error about no exec... wich is STUPID, because exec's shoudl no longer be forbidden |
| 11:42 |
layna |
ARGH, talk about my sysadmin.... may ? kill him? |
| 11:42 |

I didnÄt send him the changes to php.ini for fun... |

| 11:43 |

layna are you aware that if you change php.ini that you must restart apache? |
| 11:44 |

Yep, and we already did restart it once today.. if he had done all I asked him to do, we wouldnÄt need to do it again |
| 11:44 |

strange |

make a small php script: <?php exec('ls -al'); ?> and try to load it |

eeos |
dokma: nope |
| 11:57 |
Phlogiston_ |
I have a question about templavoila (TV). I created a main template which renders menus, that are on every page. Now I want to create templates for the different content pages... I create a new html file and make that a sub template of the main one or how is that done? |
| 11:59 |
Phlogiston_ |
Or shall I do it with a subsection? I'm not sure |
| 12:00 |

Ries |
morning guys |
| 12:01 |
dokma |
thats probably the easiest way to find it |
| 12:05 |
zatmania |
hi Ries |
| 12:07 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
hi Ries |
| 12:09 |
Phlogiston_ |
hi Ries |
| 12:10 |
Ries |
Phlogiston_: Just make a new template..... |
| 12:11 |
Ries |
I don't use subtemplates much. You can use them to give a different view of the same data |
| 12:15 |
dax77 |
Phlogiston_: you should make your menus vie TS and insert them into the other templates |
| 12:16 |
dax77 |
subtemplates only make sence, if you have the same structure but different designs |
| 12:16 |
dax77 |
hi Ries :) |
| 12:22 |
Ries |
Hey dax77 |
| 12:23 |
Ries |
dax77: You need to explain to me one day they good, the bad and the ugly about lib & div |
| 12:23 |
layna |
*cries* I hope at least my train is on time today.... SOMETHING has to be working today!!!!!!! |
| 12:24 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: TV's biggest downside imo is the lack of exactly that feature. Or I havent figured out how to do it - the only solution as I see it is to make an entirely new template for each content layout... |
| 12:24 |
layna |
Anyway... is there some linux-command to test of the ImageMagic-installation is soudn in itself???? |
| 12:24 |
Fanty |
It creates major redundancies if you have several "content" templates |
| 12:25 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: I've ended up using a combination of "old" templates for the "outer shell" and TV templates for the content area |
| 12:29 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: dax77 thanks for your answers. so fi I have like 10 different designs (and this probably only inside the main content part) and I want to change the main "border" part I need to edit every of those templates? Hmm thats crap, I thought that exactly that can TV handle... |
| 12:30 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: yep. thats why I use the old templates for the outer frame (such as that border) |
| 12:30 |
layna |
Repead: How do I test if my ImageMagic installation works? I need soem approach here... |
| 12:30 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
layna: You can test through the install tool |
| 12:31 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
layna: Install > Image Processing |
| 12:31 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
layna: Current configuration |
| 12:31 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
ImageMagick enabled: 1 |
| 12:31 |
layna |
Well, the installTool doesn't find it.... what I am totally lost about is the n"why", is it an IM-problem, or a problem about rights on linux or one from the tool..? |
| 12:32 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
layna: ImageMagick enabled: 0 is what u get? |
| 12:33 |
layna |
ImageMagick enabled: 1 |
| 12:33 |
layna |
ImageMagick path: /usr/X11R6/bin/ () |
| 12:33 |
layna |
ImageMagick path/LZW: /usr/bin/ () |
| 12:34 |
layna |
I tried changing those paths via Basic configuration.. but it stubbortnly cvlaims no IE present |
| 12:34 |
layna |
IM, I mean |
| 12:35 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
layna: Sorry... no time to lookup today, else I'll miss my train home :( |
| 12:36 |
layna |
Well, then go catch it.. I hope mine is on time today ^^ |
| 12:36 |
layna |
*has one to catch, too.. but later, and it has a 50% chance of being punctual |
| 12:37 |
|--Holy_Devil--| |
Bye @ All |
| 12:42 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: what do you mean with old templates? A normal with markers or what? |
| 12:42 |
Fanty |
yes |
| 12:42 |
uschi |
oops, just found out that this chat is completely logged and published |
| 12:45 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: ah hmm that sucks :D |
| 12:45 |
Fanty |
its not cool, but no TV at all OR redundant templates suck more :) |
| 12:46 |
Phlogiston_ |
thats true |
| 12:46 |
Phlogiston_ |
but its shit, because I started already with a TV template for main, and I'm not sure how to do it |
| 12:47 |
Phlogiston_ |
so then I have just some divs in a template without body and that stuff? |
| 12:47 |
Phlogiston_ |
and I map only that divs with tv? |
| 12:47 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: huh? a TV is always a complete HTML file with headers etc |
| 12:48 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: hmm okai... |
| 12:48 |
Phlogiston_ |
whats the deal with subtemplates then? |
| 12:48 |
layna |
Anyone else back? Typo3 doesn't find my ImageMagic, any way I can text if it's Typo3 or ImageMagic that went wrong? |
| 12:48 |
layna |
test, not text *sighs* |
| 12:49 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: I figured it was something like if you have the exact same datastructure and want to be able to show it in different ways you can use subtemplates (ie have a menu to the left and content to the right - subtemplate could be menu to the right and content to the left) ... pritty darn useless imo |
| 12:50 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: ah ok.... jap and that sounds useless |
| 12:50 |
Phlogiston_ |
so I create a new TO and DS for every design on my page= |
| 12:51 |
Fanty |
Phlogiston_: thats one option .. I prefer a few DS tough - you can have a DS with fields you dont actually map to the specific template |
| 12:51 |
Phlogiston_ |
Fanty: ah right of course... |
| 12:51 |
Phlogiston_ |
sounds good |
| 12:52 |
layna |
*blinks* Images work now...???? wirdness.... bye... |
| 13:02 |
Fanty |
o..m..g... I'm back from htmlarea.js -- and I'm still alive (barely) |

can I creat a RO effect for a normal Image? Or do I need GMENU for that? Or on the other hand, how can I create a language menu with GMENU? Shall I create dummy pages and change the links of them? |
| 13:10 |
Diogenges |
i think you need a gmenu for a rollover... |
| 13:14 |
Diogenges |
hello t3 friends! is it possible to habe two default languages in one pagetree? |
| 13:17 |
dax77 |
Diogenges: you can only have one default language at a time ;) |
| 13:17 |
dax77 |
but you can have change the default language at anytime |
| 13:21 |
Diogenges |
thats shit! :-) Problem is that I have a pagetree with german as default and an additional language (english). but i have also a pagetree with english as default and german as an additional language... |
| 13:21 |
dax77 |
g2g cu l8er |
| 13:23 |
Diogenges |
and tt_news takes always the default-language... so i have in the second pagetree with default language english unfortunately german news... |
| 13:27 |
Jigal |
Diogenges: the default language is just the language for which you haven't created a language record. So, no there only be on language without language record, so one default language. You can use conditions in TypoScript to set one of the languages in your system as the current language, so that might be a possibility to use multiple "default" languages... |

Brett_W |
Hello all |
| 13:31 |
Brett_W |
I have a quick question. I just installed typo3 and it is giving me a 500 server error on the site but the /typo3 backend is working just great. Is there a misconfiguration on my end? |
| 13:31 |
Diogenges |
uffff... thanks Jigal.... |
| 13:34 |
Brett_W |
Or should it do this until I get an actual site up and running... |
| 13:40 |
Phlogiston_ |
Diogenges: hmm ok and how can I connect a gmenu with the language? |
| 13:41 |
Jigal |
Diogenges: sorry to bring you the bad news :-( Have you read the Localization Guide? (http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/core-documentation/doc_l10nguide/current/ ) it contains a lot of useful information, also on setting the current language in TypoScript, etc. |
| 13:42 |
Diogenges |
im sure that i read this doc... for two days im studying localization stuff... :D |

pulponair: never critize a guy with a razor. |
| 14:28 |
Phlogiston_ |
2.NO.XY = [1.NO.10.w]+10, 14 <- is that impossible? |
| 14:31 |
Phlogiston_ |
I think I need that to set the width of the sub menu of my gmenu_layers |
| 14:32 |
pulponair |
koomi: hehe |
| 14:40 |
Denyerec |
has anyone got to grips with Commerce yet ? |
| 14:42 |
pulponair |
i got |
| 14:42 |
Denyerec |
got... ? |
| 14:43 |
Phlogiston_ |
damn it.. why does that not work in TS :( |
| 14:50 |
Phlogiston_ |
where can I look up what fields are available in typoscript? |
| 14:50 |
elbart |
hi |
| 14:50 |
pulponair |
Phlogiston_:tsref |
| 14:55 |
Phlogiston_ |
pulponair: hmm but where, I can't find it... |
| 14:55 |
eeos |
Denyerec: hi there |
| 14:55 |
Denyerec |
hey eeos |
| 14:56 |
pulponair |
Phlogiston_: in tsref the whole document is full of field definition |
| 14:56 |
Phlogiston_ |
hmm ok then, is there a field that gives the name of the rootpage a page is inside? |
| 14:57 |
eeos |
pulponair: hi |
| 14:57 |

elbart |
i'm here |
| 15:12 |
Phlogiston_ |
can you help me with my menu probably? |
| 15:12 |
Phlogiston_ |
its more like a TS problem |
| 15:12 |
Phlogiston_ |
the XY on line 67 should have the same X value as the XY on line 28 |
| 15:12 |
Phlogiston_ |
how can I do that? |
| 15:13 |
dokma |
ppl I'm getting a message that there is a reference to the folder I'm trying to delete. How do I find which folder it is? |
| 15:13 |
dokma |
which reference |
| 15:14 |
elbart |
Phlogiston_, have you tested not to delete the 10.text.field on line 66? |
| 15:15 |
elbart |
ohh sry, i see the problem now ;) |
| 15:15 |
Phlogiston_ |
elbart: isn't the problem that 10.w refers to the current text? Or I mean at least to the current new created text object with the width of the text on that page and not the one above... |
| 15:16 |
Phlogiston_ |
elbart: do you understand what I mean? |
| 15:17 |
dokma |
I've found that the content element with uid 10 is refering to the given sys foler |
| 15:17 |
elbart |
yeah, but sry... no Idea for now |
| 15:17 |
dokma |
how do I find content element with uid 10 ? |
| 15:19 |
elbart |
@dokma: look at RECORDS object |
| 15:19 |
dokma |
elbart this is not in ts |
| 15:20 |
dokma |
I was trying to delete a sysfolder |
| 15:20 |
dokma |
but got a warning that there is a reference to it |
| 15:20 |
dokma |
so I found out that it is a content object with uid 10 |
| 15:20 |
dokma |
now I just need to find it in the be and delete it |
| 15:20 |
max_muetze |
hello again... i am arguing about the notepad when editing php-files because of the terrible layout.. can you suggest a better one? (preferable a free one) |
| 15:25 |
dokma |
did you try eclipse+phpeclipse ? |
| 15:25 |
dokma |
you can move it around without installation |
| 15:25 |
dokma |
it's java |
| 15:26 |
max_muetze |
sounds good.. i'll try, thanks |
| 15:40 |

Denyerec: going anywhere nice for the weekend (looking for suggestions at the end of the day / week) :) |
| 17:13 |

Denyerec: :D |
| 17:17 |
Denyerec |
?? |
| 17:17 |
eeos |
Denyerec: but actually the bluebell thing needs a thought |
| 17:17 |
Denyerec |
That I need someone for a cost/difficulty appraisal on a Typo3 form? :) |
| 17:17 |
Denyerec |
yer bluebells are out this week and possibly next |
| 17:17 |
Denyerec |
so if you want a nice woodland picnic, now is your change. |
| 17:17 |
Denyerec |
*chance |
| 17:17 |
eeos |
ooops: it was koomi! |
| 17:18 |

Denyerec: sorry, the fot is so small on this blooming screen that is very difficult to separate the lies some time |
| 17:18 |
j0hndeere |
increasing your font size would be cheaper. |
| 17:20 |
j0hndeere |
We won't discuss that. |
| 17:20 |
j0hndeere |
;) |
| 17:29 |
Denyerec |
So does anyone wanna quote me happy ? |
| 17:30 |
Denyerec |
Or tell me how to recreate what I see with typo? |
| 17:30 |
Denyerec |
I admit, friday afternoon/night is probably not the easiest time to achieve such a thing, but you neve rknow. |
| 17:32 |
j0hndeere |
what kind of form are you needing? |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
I'll show you |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
http://www.locationx.net |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
go to register |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
it's a 3 page form, with some interesting combo boxes, and on the final page the opporunity to attach a load of attachments to the email. |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
(10 in total) |
| 17:35 |
Denyerec |
(To be sent as email attachments) |
| 17:36 |
Denyerec |
I have the PHP source that generated the 3-step thing |
| 17:36 |
Denyerec |
so maybe I can just drop it into a typo page as a script. |
| 17:37 |
Denyerec |
though it wouldn't handle the post vars a-la-typoe requirement. |
| 17:43 |
smux |
Hi. I extend fe_users and I wanna display some information in an other extension. So how can I get the translation ? |
| 17:44 |
j0hndeere |
huh |
| 17:45 |
smux |
(about extended fields) |
| 17:46 |
j0hndeere |
you want to integrate this into some kind of FE user system, Denyerec? |
| 17:50 |
Denyerec |
Um |
| 17:50 |
Denyerec |
Not really fe)users TBH |
| 17:50 |
Denyerec |
just need that form to be publically accessible and function in a siumilar way. |
| 17:50 |
Denyerec |
(Wehere similar is pretty much identical... |
| 17:50 |
Denyerec |
the original form is a php script, so as I was saying Imight be able to just drop it in. |
| 17:51 |
Denyerec |
I'd rather do it "The best typo3 way" though. |
| 17:51 |
Denyerec |
I am being dragged out by the GF, I will be back in 39 |
| 17:51 |

hi bedlamhotel :)) |

bedlamhotel |
Greetings uschi. |
| 19:18 |
max_muetze |
good evening... i am searching for a good statistics extension... i like to display the daily visitors and their countries? what are you using for this task? i have access to webalizer logs.. |
| 19:19 |
just2b |
i use awstats, somtimes google analytics |
| 19:21 |
max_muetze |
yes i also use google analytics.. awstats should be installed by my hoster on monday, but i don't know if it is not a little "oversized" - i was really impressed of the joomla-ext "joomlastats" which comes with a frontend module out of the box... so i am very surprised that there seems to be nothing compareable for typo3... |
| 19:21 |
just2b |
there is a be_ext > awstats |
| 19:23 |
max_muetze |
yes, but you must have awstats installed on your server... i am happy, that my hoster will install it on my webpack... my main task is to display the information on the frontend, so i hope that this will be possible with awstats - do you know about this? |
| 19:23 |
just2b |
you don't need awstats on the server |
| 19:23 |
just2b |
for FE dispay there is nothing IMO |
| 19:25 |
max_muetze |
uhm, nothing... mh |
| 19:26 |
just2b |
IMO yes |
| 19:26 |
max_muetze |
oh sure, i forgot - i found a solution this afternoon... if you're interested - this seems to work:http://www.machwert.de/Einzelansicht.655+M545a04100eb.0.html |
| 19:28 |
just2b |
ok |
| 19:35 |
Denyerec |
I return. |
| 19:43 |
just2b |
hi andreas ;) |
| 19:43 |
andreasbalzer |
hi :) |
| 19:43 |
just2b |
and thinkink finished? :D |
| 19:43 |
andreasbalzer |
about what? |
| 19:43 |
just2b |
your extensions |
| 19:43 |
andreasbalzer |
ah yeah.. |
| 19:43 |
andreasbalzer |
not really |
| 19:43 |
just2b |
;) |
| 19:44 |
andreasbalzer |
i try to add a config value to EM and I want to access that value in my extension, but it doesn't work |
| 19:44 |
just2b |
that is not very difficult |
| 19:44 |
just2b |
ext_conf_template.txt |
| 19:45 |
andreasbalzer |
i use something like a 'hook' to include my ext into the page generation |
| 19:45 |
just2b |
# cat=basic; type=string; label=Development, forget it |
| 19:45 |
just2b |
tables = tt_address |
| 19:45 |
andreasbalzer |
yeah, the input fields etc are there |
| 19:45 |
just2b |
$tmp_confArr = unserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']['extConf']['rggooglemap']); |
| 19:45 |
andreasbalzer |
but I don't know where to find that value in the php... |
| 19:45 |
andreasbalzer |
I have tried that code with my extension values but it doesn't work |
| 19:45 |
just2b |
you need your ext key and you need to save ONCE |
| 19:46 |
andreasbalzer |
I neither found my values in $_GLOBALS.. :-/ |
| 19:46 |
just2b |
it is in tmp_confarr, trust me ^^ |
| 19:56 |
andreasbalzer |
just2b: there's nothing in it |
| 19:56 |
andreasbalzer |
I just try $tmp_confArr = unserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']); |
| 19:56 |
andreasbalzer |
t3lib_div::debug($tmp_confArr); |
| 19:56 |
andreasbalzer |
print_r($tmp_confArr); |
| 19:56 |
andreasbalzer |
and there's no output at all |
| 19:57 |
uschi |
dokma !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 19:57 |
uschi |
are you still there? |
| 19:58 |
uschi |
because susi.sensibel can login after she registered herself |
| 20:00 |
just2b |
andreas, why do you crop the GLOBALS. .... =? |
| 20:00 |
andreasbalzer |
? |
| 20:01 |
andreasbalzer |
what do you mean by "crop"? |
| 20:02 |
just2b |
use this > nserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']['extConf']['rggooglemap']); |
| 20:02 |
andreasbalzer |
well.. |
| 20:02 |
andreasbalzer |
there's no value in unserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']['extConf']['abcsstidy']); |
| 20:03 |
andreasbalzer |
nserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']['extConf']); |
| 20:03 |
andreasbalzer |
nserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXT']); |
| 20:03 |
andreasbalzer |
nserialize($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']); |
| 20:03 |
just2b |
you saved in EM once? |
| 20:03 |
andreasbalzer |
and even unserialize($GLOBALS); does not contain my values |
| 20:03 |
andreasbalzer |
yes I have saved it more then once, cleared all caches every 30 secs and reloaded the pages afterwards |
| 20:04 |
andreasbalzer |
afk 4 2 min |
| 20:09 |
andreasbalzer |

dokma |
hows it going? |
| 21:16 |
uschi |
as i told you, see my query |

dokma |
it will be impossible for me to solve this without a debugging session |
