timdeluxe__: seems to be a solution for building clusters |

I'm lookin for something different |
| 00:08 |
timdeluxe__ |
hm. depends of what you want |
| 00:08 |
timdeluxe__ |
refreshing the dev on demand or keeping the dev alltime synced to prod |
| 00:09 |
mimi_ |
it's not a prod with lot of productive data - it's more two people developing and looking for a way to sync their db-changes |

it's not a prod with lot of productive data - it's more two people developing and looking for a way to sync their db-changes |
| 00:10 |

but I think, it's not possible to have an automated procedure to do so |
| 00:10 |
mimi_ |
but we want refreshing the dev on demand |
| 00:11 |
timdeluxe__ |
for the last a dump and a restore of it would be the best solution. |
| 00:11 |
mimi_ |
but the EM - Process of T3 should be enough to resync the table definitions if the data structure of a extension changes |
| 00:11 |
mimi_ |
I think the dump is only necessery, if we want to sync the data in the db |
| 00:12 |

and that is done via the EM |

The manual suggests RTE.default.classesTable = ..., but apparently, one has to do additional config to make it work |

So it's stripped the first time you save, and the second time it persists? |
| 22:40 |
s-andersen |
Yep |
| 22:40 |
tobstar |
Weird. |
| 22:41 |
s-andersen |
In FE i get <parseitems>UID</parseitems> first time i save, next time i get the desired content |
| 22:43 |
s-andersen |
I'm confident that the cause is, that my tag doesn't get respected by htmlspecialchars(); |
| 22:44 |
s-andersen |
When the tag doesnt work, it has < > in database, when it works it's < and > |
| 22:44 |
tobstar |
ah, ok |
| 22:44 |
tobstar |
So after the first saving your tag is treated as regular input |

| 22:46 |

I find it quite weird, why would it disallow something, just to allow it uppon next save? |
| 22:46 |
tobstar |
It doesn't make sense to me, too |
| 22:46 |

And you don't edit anything after the first save, right? |

Nop, i just have to save twice to make et work |

press the save button first, and then save and exit |

When you check the rte-html-output (the <> symbol, I guess) before the first and before the second save |
| 22:47 |
tobstar |
is there any difference? |
| 22:48 |
s-andersen |
Yes, after first save it's < and > after second save it's < and > |

Also in RTE's output? |

s-andersen |
Yep |
| 22:49 |

Okay... and you input it in the regular RTE? |
| 22:49 |

s-andersen |
Yep, totally regular RTE (except that it's a custom field) |

Nop, i just have to save twice to make et work |
| 22:47 |
s-andersen |
press the save button first, and then save and exit |
| 22:47 |
tobstar |
When you check the rte-html-output (the <> symbol, I guess) before the first and before the second save |
| 22:47 |
tobstar |
is there any difference? |
| 22:48 |
s-andersen |
Yes, after first save it's < and > after second save it's < and > |
| 22:48 |
tobstar |
Also in RTE's output? |
| 22:48 |
s-andersen |
Yep |
| 22:49 |
tobstar |
Okay... and you input it in the regular RTE? |
| 22:49 |
s-andersen |
That's what makes even less sense, that is ruins my tags, to recreate them |
| 22:49 |
s-andersen |
Yep, totally regular RTE (except that it's a custom field) |
| 22:49 |
s-andersen |
I haven't fooled around with the configuration |
| 22:50 |
tobstar |
I haven't read any doc regarding this, but are you really sure your custom tag should be entered in the RTE window? |
| 22:51 |
tobstar |
I'm thinking, you can't just enter <p>Bla</p> in there, why would your custom tag work |
| 22:51 |
tobstar |
It seems logical to me that it shows up on the page literally |
| 22:51 |
tobstar |
(as I said, this is only from my intuition) |
| 22:52 |
s-andersen |
Yep, but why does it work when i save next time :) |
| 22:52 |
tobstar |
This may be some kind of quirk... :-> |
| 22:52 |
tobstar |
When you enter your custom tag in the source code view, does it work directly? |
| 22:52 |
s-andersen |
There is some configuration to do, because when i hit enter key, in the RTE, it's not substituted with <p> tags |
| 22:52 |
s-andersen |
Nope, i also tried that |
| 22:53 |
s-andersen |
that's what makes me assume that it's some kind of special char thing |
| 22:53 |
s-andersen |
Oh, you just reminded me of something |
| 22:54 |
s-andersen |
When the kickstarter creates a custom tag, it adds some TSconfig, but i remember, that it only configs the RTE in tt_content |
| 22:54 |
tobstar |
Are you sure that if you input something in the source view it shows up transformed in entities? |

When it's a tag, it would be killed if it isn't allowed, but not be entitized, would it? |
| 22:56 |
s-andersen |
Damn, I just thought i knew how to solve it but I didn't |
| 22:56 |
s-andersen |
I would expect that behaviour too |
| 22:56 |
tobstar |
That sucks. :) |

Oh, btw, you're right |
| 23:00 |
tobstar |
Entering <test>blah</test> in the source view causes it to show up on the page entitized. |
| 23:01 |
tobstar |
So, in your example (with your tag instead of my test tag), submitting this: <test>Bla</test> then gives you what you want? |
| 23:04 |
s-andersen |
Well the weird thing is, it only happens on first input |
| 23:00 |
tobstar |

s-andersen |
if I edit the tags to anything, either < > or < > it shows me what i want |
| 23:06 |
s-andersen |
I can edit the record, cut out my tag, save, edit again and paste it in, and it still works |
| 23:07 |
tobstar |
So it doesn't matter if you enter <parseitems>59</parseitems> in the RTE or <parseitems>5</parseitems> in the source view? |
| 23:07 |
tobstar |
Because entering this would create the same entitized stuff, which would then appear correctly for whatever reason after you save again? |
| 23:08 |
s-andersen |
Hmmm, i'm getting plain weird behaviour. |
| 23:08 |
tobstar |
Which means? |
| 23:08 |
s-andersen |
When it's working, i can edit, and substitute < with < and > with &rt; in WYSIWYG mode, and it would still work |
| 23:09 |
s-andersen |
I can also cut it out, save and paste it in, and it still works. |
| 23:09 |
s-andersen |
But if I cut it out, save, and then manually write the tag, i will get the tags in FE |
| 23:09 |
s-andersen |
right until i save again |

This is definitely weird. |
| 23:13 |
s-andersen |
Very very weird. It's like it has a different parsing behaviour, if the field is empty |
| 23:14 |
s-andersen |
When i start from empty field, no matter what i input or where i do it, i will see the tags in frontend. When I edit it no matter what i write < or < style, it will work... |

I'm sorry I can't help you with this, but good luck figuring it out |

If you have it, please tell me what it was. I'm quite curious about this now :-D |

Well tobstar i have a final test, and that is trying to use my tag in the tt_content RTE, if that works the first time, it must be a configuration problem :) |

Same problem in normal RTE, perhaps it's a bug in which case I just live with it until it's fixed |
| 23:21 |
s-andersen |
I'm also going to sleep now, good night |
| 23:22 |

At least it looks quite similar to what you experience |
