10:15 donjoe Havin a problem with moving a typo 3 installation from development server to a production server. The production server had too less power/values to restore a backup via typo3, via phpMyAdmin.
10:16 donjoe So i synchronized the databases via HeidiSQL and uploaded the files via ftp, but now i can't login to the typo3 backend
10:17 donjoe the username and password hashes are the same, anyone an idea what could be the problem?

15:16 brain-xy hello all :)
15:16 evermind hi
16:25 Teltariat greets folks
16:26 siar yo
16:26 Teltariat I'm a bit surprised that the INSTALL.TXT for Typo3 specifies that Typo3 must have MySQL
16:26 Teltariat It can't use Postgres?
16:26 siar is there a way to not use mysql? i'm not aware
16:27 siar u might have to edit alot of files to accomplish that..
16:27 Teltariat I started using Typo3 a long time ago but stopped because of issues I was running into. Its been a while, so I no longer recall. Its a new version now, so I guess things might have changed
16:27 Teltariat Trying to give it a second chance
16:27 evermind well, theres a new way to use even textfiles as source
16:27 evermind dbal
16:27 evermind lets you use whatever "database" you want
16:27 Teltariat dbal?
16:28 evermind search on your typo3 install ext manager for it
16:28 evermind but be careful
16:28 evermind its not like pressing a button, and now were using nother db
16:28 evermind also look on typo3.org for it, they have good docu on it

19:47 uschi dear friends, how can i wrap a COA only if one of its elements is not empty?

19:55 uschi hm
19:56 uschi hmmmmm
19:58 uschi d|gunner, does not work, the wrap gets written out even if the two elements are empty :-((

20:00 bedlamhotel uschi: egads. What are you trying to do?
20:00 uschi the COA is inside a LOAD_REGISTER
20:00 uschi wait, i show you
20:01 uschi trying to get spaceBefore and spaceAfter right
20:01 uschi as style attribute for a <div> that surrounds the CE
20:01 uschi give me 5 minutes
20:01 bedlamhotel uschi: wouldn't it be easier to use "Frame"?
20:02 uschi frame is used as well, but for colored boxed :))
20:02 bedlamhotel Ah--I should have guessed :D
20:02 uschi you know i love complicated stuff :))
20:04 d|gunner uschi, another example http://phpfi.com/244181

20:05 uschi somehow required=1 does not effect the wrap of a COA in a LOAD_REGISTER, d|gunner
20:05 uschi i have a solution, post it in 5 minutes
20:05 d|gunner i hope you will find solution ;)
20:05 uschi i found one, perhaps not the most elegant one, but it works
20:06 uschi i just made up a second LOAD_REGISTER
20:06 uschi the variable inside is = TEXT
20:06 d|gunner ok =) we will wait you =)
20:06 uschi has {register:var1} {register:var2} as value

20:31 bedlamhotel Eek. That's a lot of TS.
20:31 uschi perhaps i could make it more configurable, e.g. using em and not px
20:31 uschi yes, but it WORKS
20:33 uschi i told you i am going to rewrite setup.txt of css_styled_content until it finally puts out reasonable code
20:33 meppl good night

20:35 bedlamhotel Yes, you mentioned that. Not a half bad idea.
20:38 uschi perhaps we could even introduce clearfixL and clearfixR
20:39 bedlamhotel in section frame or something?
20:39 uschi no, this is path tt_content.image.20.layout see lines 122 ff

20:40 uschi i did not all of the possibilities yet
20:41 bedlamhotel Oh, right. I see.
20:42 uschi the ###CLASSES### thing is useless as it is now
20:43 uschi the principle is: rule it all out of one outer div (tt_content.stdWrap.innerWrap.cObject.20) respecting uid, frames, perhaps font_size and spaceBefore / spaceAfter

22:52 olympus yea, doing this now. Well the thing i need is to somehow implement two languages in this source. My friend asked if i could help, i said will try. So now trying to get better with this source and find out what is the easiest way, to do the thing with two languages :)
22:53 nevermind you dont need to edit the typo3 source to make it multilingual
22:53 nevermind two ways:
22:53 nevermind 2 page trees
22:53 nevermind 1 tree with two langs
22:53 nevermind depending if you got alot of different pages and page content for each lang, or basically both the same, just translated
22:54 olympus well, the page at the moment is in one language. I need to make , that when user comes, he pushes icon with EN(english) page reloads and displays first, index page in english
22:54 olympus thats it :)

22:55 nevermind could be done in bout ~10-20 minutes
22:56 olympus i will install the source and will see, how it will go :)

23:15 nevermind why?
23:16 nevermind well, i could really see a reason to user other dbs, but on the other hand, mysql in current versions runs pretty stable and even fast for larger amounts of data, if setup right

23:21 Teltariat Everyone has their taste. In my personal humble opinion, Postgres is superior, but thats just me. At the very least, (as most other projects have done), you should be able to choose which kind of database you run right from the installer.
23:24 nevermind well, give it some time
23:24 nevermind from what ive seen, typo3 5.x will be a total break with the current
