Can anyone explain to me how to use the pagetype Shortcut properly, if I want to achieve, that the first subpage of a subtree is displayed as home in the mainmenu and the ACT and CUR states are respected? |
| 07:39 |
uffi |
hi tobi :) |
| 07:49 |
Jigal |
uffi: from what I've noticed when using shortcut pages, the contents of the page the shortcut is pointing too are displayed as if they were present on the shortcut page itself. The visitor isn't forwarded to -- in your case -- the first subpage in the subtree, but stays on the 'home' page; he/she only sees the contents of the first subpage in the subtree... |

concert tickets bring a lot more income to an artist than CD/DVD sales; so from a support point of view... |

quote from the release notes: "Some tables are changed to use InnoDB engine type for MySQL" -- what tables? |

Jigal |
well, the kind of music I heard at her website isn't really suitable for a stadium; a more intimate setting is much more appropriate. acoustics in churches can be great. ticket price is not too much for a full concert I think. well known artists in stadiums ask 50 to >100 sometimes |

Fanty: InnoDB with newer MySQL version? |
| 09:03 |
Fanty |
Jigal: yep.. 5.x |
| 09:04 |
Jigal |
Fanty: and on 4.x you could use multi table delete statements ;-) |
| 09:04 |
Fanty |
Jigal: the trick here would be me not having to worry about making any deletes at all... having my table cleaned up nicely whenever something is deleted from fe_sessions |
| 09:06 |
Fanty |
Jigal: multitable deletes suck.. at least when I use them. I always end up with some rather complex relational database and remembering to delete everything from everywhere is a pain |
| 09:06 |
Jigal |
Fanty: that is a situation where you could use foreign keys with an on delete clause... |
| 09:08 |
Fanty |
Jigal: exactly.. however my fe_sessions aren't using InnoDB right now.. I'm trying to figure out how much is going to explode into my face if I convert it |
| 09:08 |
Jigal |
Fanty: those multi-table delete queries are fun! (just like other complex queries, which still can run fast) |
| 09:08 |
Jigal |
Fanty: what's the current definition of the fe_sessions table? |
| 09:09 |
Fanty |
Jigal: Its only fun while you develop it.. afterwards, when someone comes running and yells BUUUUUUUUUUUUG its a pain :P |
| 09:09 |
Fanty |
Jigal: cant find it |
| 09:09 |
Jigal |
Fanty: SHOW CREATE TABLE `fe_sessions` :-P |
| 09:11 |
Fanty |
Jigal: oh, right now its MyISAM.. if it wasen't I wouldn't have any problems ;) |
| 09:11 |
Fanty |
Jigal: I'm hoping they've converted the default to InnoDB in 4.1 thus letting me not feel like I take a chance converting my table |
| 09:12 |
Fanty |
Jigal: but I cant find the default table definitions for 4.1 right now |
| 09:12 |
Jigal |
Fanty: I assumed it was MyISAM, but how about autoincrement fields, indexes, primary key, etc.? |
| 09:12 |
just2b |
can anyone help me with extending a table in ext_tables.php? if i make the extension via kickstarter, everything is fine but if I copy the ext_Tables.php into another ext_tables.php, nothing shown > code http://phpfi.com/213816 |
| 09:13 |
Fanty |
Jigal: only thing it has is a PRIMARY KEY (`ses_id`,`ses_name`) |
| 09:15 |
Jigal |
Fanty: and ses_id and ses_name are not very long fields (e.g. VARCHAR(255) or so) |
| 09:15 |
Jigal |
? |
| 09:16 |
Fanty |
Jigal: nope they're small.. varchar(32) both of them |
| 09:19 |
Jigal |
Fanty: hmm... 64 char primary key; smaller would be better. If the table isn't very big, it wouldn't be a problem. You still have to configure your MySQL to allocate memory for InnoDB; for small databases the default settings in the example ini files are good enough. RTFM though! ( http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/converting-tables-to-innodb.html ) |
| 09:19 |
pulponair |
hi there |
| 09:23 |
just2b |
another try: code in ext_tables.php should work in every ext_tables.php, is that correcT? |
| 09:26 |
just2b |
come on.. YOU know that ;) |
| 09:27 |
Jigal |
just2b: no |
| 09:28 |
just2b |
you don't know it? |
| 09:29 |
Jigal |
just2b: if you add definition for field in table, it should be present in the actual table; so ext_tables.sql should also be changed |
| 09:29 |
just2b |
yeah but it should be visible... beside the sql error if i want to insert anything |
| 09:30 |
just2b |
http://phpfi.com/213821 > only the first table gets updated... |
| 09:38 |
Jigal |
just2b: don't know what happens if you don't add it to ext_tables.sql and don't update the installed extension... |
| 09:39 |
just2b |
the field is shown in BE... but I have to fix that later |
| 09:39 |
Jigal |
I would have to look up the addToAllTCAtypes() call though to say anything about that... |
| 09:42 |
Jigal |
just2b: I see calls to t3lib_extMgm::addPlugin() in all my ext_tables.php's, but not in yours!? |
| 09:43 |
just2b |
you need that for your FE plugin |
| 09:43 |
just2b |
i'm talking just about extending a table |
| 09:45 |
Jigal |
just2b: well, I still would edit ext_tables.sql and update the extension in the EM first... |
| 09:45 |
just2b |
tables are there... |
| 09:45 |
just2b |
i just movied some code from one ext_tables to another one |
| 09:46 |
Jigal |
just2b: afaik TYPO3 uses ext_tables.sql to compare that definition with the actual table in the db; don't know all the side effects if the two don't match... |
| 09:47 |
just2b |
yeah but the fields are there... |
| 09:48 |
Jigal |
and this is part of tx_veguestbook_entries? |
| 09:48 |
just2b |
yes |
| 09:49 |
Jigal |
But the $TCA entry is not defined in this ext_tables.php file!? |
| 09:49 |
Jigal |
So, how can you load that TCA?? |
| 09:50 |
just2b |
with t3lib_div::loadTCA("tx_veguestbook_entries"); |
| 09:50 |
Jigal |
Where is the definition of $TCA['tx_veguestbook_entries']?? |
| 09:51 |
just2b |
don't really know but the question is: why does it work in an ext_tables.php in a plain ext, just made with the kickstarter and why not if i use the exace same file in another ext... |
| 09:53 |
Jigal |
$TCA['tt_contents'] is defined in ext_tables.php of tt_contents, so you can load the TCA entry in another extension. Usually extensions include the initial definition of the $TCA entry for their tables... |
| 09:55 |
Jigal |
I mean: if there is no initial definition of the tx_veguestbook_entries table in $TCA, you can never load that TCA entry and you can never add a column to that TCA entry. |
| 09:55 |
just2b |
there is! i only extend the guestbook... in both extension, the 1st which is made by kickstarter and 2nd where I just imported the whole file |
| 10:00 |
Jigal |
It's getting confusing :-) So there is a typo3conf/ext/ve_guestbook/ext_tables.php which contains a definition like $TCA["tx_veguestbook_entries"] = Array ( ... ? |
| 10:02 |
just2b |
of course > in the extension ve_guestbook |
| 10:10 |
Jigal |
Did you set the depencies for your extension? |
| 10:10 |
just2b |
yes |
| 10:11 |
just2b |
thx for help.,... need to go to the mensa now.. maybe this helps with thinking |
| 10:12 |
Jigal |
just2b: what if you change the order; first tx_veguestbook_entries, then tt_contents? |
| 10:12 |
Jigal |
just2b: with such an IQ, who needs help thinking? ;-P |
| 10:12 |
just2b |
;)))) no change with another order |
| 10:13 |
Jigal |
then somehow the ve_guestbook extension isn't loaded yet when yours is loaded... ext_emconf.php shows the dependencies? |
| 10:19 |

why aren't the fe_* tables defined in t3lib/stddb/tables.sql ? |

and where are the default fe_* tables then defined? |

mikhas |
hmm, i can't find any plugins that can search for files in fileadmin. |
| 10:46 |
neostar |
hi |
| 10:47 |
Jigal |
Fanty: as to the why: TYPO3 is basically a framework and even the cms is implemented as a (system) extension. |
| 10:49 |
Fanty |
Jigal: yir, figured as much when I took a look inside the cms folder ;) fe_sessions is defaulted to InnoDB now too btw |
| 10:52 |
Jigal |
Fanty: InnoDB isn't the perfect engine for all circumstances; choices for engines must be carefully made... |

| 12:03 |
Jigal |
Fanty: if you want to add or update something without testing yourself which action is needed? |
| 12:04 |
Fanty |
Jigal: yep.. insert, but I dont care if its already in there... if it is then overwrite it based on key constraints ofcause |
| 12:06 |
Jigal |
Fanty: that's basically what REPLACE does, but I don't get the reason why you ask about t3lib_db.php having such a function? |
| 12:06 |
Fanty |
Jigal: I'm writing an extension.. I'm supposed to use t3lib_db for DB access aren't I? |
| 12:07 |
Fanty |
Guess I'll have to make a delete or select... and lock the table if I want to be completely sure... waste of queries =/ |
| 12:07 |
Jigal |
Fanty: did you mean "doesn't" instead of "does"? :-) |
| 12:08 |
Fanty |
Jigal: ohh... yep.. sorry :) |
| 12:08 |
Jigal |
than the question becomes semantically totally different ;-P |

eeos |
Jigal: having serious problem with switching to the new kernel |
| 12:18 |
deViL` |
re |
| 12:25 |
Jigal |
Fanty: you can always use the basic MySQL functions in t3lib_db.php such as sql(), sql_query(), sql_num_rows(), etc. |
| 12:25 |
Fanty |
Jigal: that would just break the reason to use the t3lib_db to access mysql and not just access it directly dosen't it? |
| 12:26 |
Fanty |
Jigal: calling sql_query("start transaction") would be mysql specific thus wouldn't work if another databaseengine was used |
| 12:26 |
Jigal |
Fanty: there is no real DAL which also virtualizes the queries themselves; quite impossible without causing serious backward compatibility issues, or a new DAL with a new query language should be introduced |
| 12:27 |
eeos |
hi again! |
| 12:28 |
Jigal |
Fanty: the PHP extension/library PDO is an attempt, but still requires one to build one's own SQL queries (which are vendor specific) |
| 12:30 |
Fanty |
Jigal: whats the point in t3lib_db then? |
| 12:30 |
Fanty |
besides a bit of logging |
| 12:31 |
aempi |
i want to include a *.swf file in my template, just adding the object in the HTML doesnt work, typo ignores it, how do i include it properly? i placed a marker ###SLIDE### where the swf should appear |
| 12:31 |
aempi |
i don't really know how the TS should look like :/ |
| 12:32 |
just2b |
marks.SLIDE = TEXT |
| 12:32 |
just2b |
marks.SLIDE.value = the needed html code |
| 12:32 |
aempi |
hm, i think that is what i tried, i will take a second look....thanks |
| 12:32 |
Jigal |
Fanty: I once made an XML-based query language for a specific subset of queries as an attempt to make the db access more abstract, but building such a layer for all kinds of queries is not something you easily build and it will make the system less flexible and probably slower too. |
| 12:36 |
Fanty |
Jigal: I know, I've had some attempts myself too - t3lib_db does meets most queries and would be able to support something other than mysql for most queries as long as you stick to using the exec_* functions. That would be fine too if they had a REPLACE query too. Not being able to take advantage of using exec_* exclusively I might as well dump it entirely and use sql_query() instead |
| 12:38 |
aempi |
it doesn't really works here are the lines I added in the setup field: |

aempi: there's no reason you cant have the object in the HTML either if you build your template correctly |
| 12:39 |
Fanty |
aempi: you might want to have a second look at the template you're using... |
| 12:39 |
aempi |
http://sabinepostel.de/fileadmin/templates/index.html |
| 12:39 |
aempi |
this is the template, i think the marker is correct |
| 12:39 |
aempi |
or do you mean the template in typo3? |
| 12:39 |
aempi |
erm, the template object |
| 12:40 |
Fanty |
aempi: you using TV or is it a regular template? |
| 12:40 |
aempi |
templavoila |
| 12:40 |
aempi |
and when i include the html directly in the html |
| 12:40 |
Fanty |
you dont use the marks in TV |
| 12:40 |
aempi |
it doesnt work |
| 12:41 |
Fanty |
you map content instead |
| 12:41 |
aempi |
yes, i, know |
| 12:41 |
aempi |
the content works fine |
| 12:41 |
aempi |
www.sabinepostel.de |

aempi |
to the right is a content box |
| 12:41 |
aempi |
and i want the flashfile to be displayed on each page the same way on the dark blue surface to the left |
| 12:42 |
Fanty |
aempi: make another content field and map it to the div you want the flash in.. and add the flash as content |
| 12:42 |
aempi |
thx alot, i will try that |

this whole typoscript thing is a bit confusing for me |

how do i get get typo3 to start indexing (for indexing_search)? Is there a difference between 3.8 and 4.x ? |
| 12:48 |
neostar |
hi Denyerec |
| 12:48 |
Denyerec |
mikhas I had to sacrifice a goat. |
| 12:49 |
Denyerec |
Your mileage may vary |
| 12:49 |
Jigal |
Fanty: 4.0 should feature DBAL 1.0, which was awarded with a EUR 5000 budget (120hours) and aimed to provide a "stable solution to run TYPO3 on top of PostgresSQL, Oracle and MSSQL." http://association.typo3.org/committees/research-development/projects/40/dbal-10/ |
| 12:49 |
mikhas |
Denyerec: I tried that, just left a really bad smoke |
| 12:49 |
Denyerec |
:/ |
| 12:51 |
Fanty |
Jigal: you know if that means its already implemented and I'm using the wrong functions to access the db? .. or is it t3lib_db? |
| 12:51 |
smda |
when I create an external link in the rte it's wraped with a yellow box with red border.. why? how can I get rid of it? |
| 12:51 |
Jigal |
Fanty: I have no idea... |
| 12:52 |
Fanty |
Jigal: there's a dbal sysext... I'm gonna take a look |
| 12:56 |
aempi |
great fanty, it works this way, wrong size though, but i will find that option by my own i think =) |
| 12:57 |
Denyerec |
Oh you know what |
| 12:57 |
Denyerec |
when the RTE inserts the little icon by any link |
| 12:57 |
Denyerec |
that PISSES me right off |
| 12:57 |
Denyerec |
it should just apply a CSS class to that link |
| 12:57 |
Denyerec |
and let you add an icon in CSS if you wish. |
| 12:57 |
Fanty |
aempi: you're welcome. There's nothing stopping you from placing the object in the template either if its the same flash file you use on all pages where you use that template... just dont map anything over the divs where you want the flash |
| 12:58 |
Denyerec |
Winds me right up, is there any way to get rid of it ? |
| 12:58 |
toms |
that would be of interest for me too |
| 13:00 |
Fanty |
Denyerec: what icon? I dont think I got any icons anywhere |
| 13:00 |
Denyerec |
when you create a link int he RTE |
| 13:00 |
Denyerec |
if it#s external |
| 13:00 |
Denyerec |
it drops in an inline image. |
| 13:00 |
Denyerec |
well crap |
| 13:00 |
smda |
maybe it's got something to do with this Denyerec, toms http://news.typo3.org/news/article/accessibility-feature-in-htmlarea-rte-0-7-2/ |
| 13:01 |
Denyerec |
and you know what |
| 13:01 |
smda |
maybe empty RTE.classesAnchor.elink.image > :S |
| 13:01 |
Denyerec |
the one thing you can't define... is a class for the elink |
| 13:01 |
Denyerec |
:( |
| 13:01 |
Denyerec |
wait |
| 13:01 |
Denyerec |
no I misread it |
| 13:02 |
Fanty |
Denyerec: I dont have any images on external links |
| 13:02 |
Denyerec |
maybe it's been updated? |
| 13:02 |
smda |
neither do I.. but I guess that's because I'm using tiny_rte or something.. |
| 13:03 |
Denyerec |
but in the RTE I see a little image |
| 13:03 |
Denyerec |
that I have to delete from the RTE every time I drop in a new external link |
| 13:04 |
Fanty |
I use rtehtmlarea 1.5.1dev now.. I used 1.3.6 (I think) before and that one diden't either. |

| 13:06 |

At least someone has the same problem! |
| 13:06 |
Denyerec |
http://news.typo3.org/news/article/accessibility-feature-in-htmlarea-rte-0-7-2/ |
| 13:07 |
Denyerec |
There is some indication of a solution there. |
| 13:07 |
Fanty |
Denyerec: why not just use a newer version of the extension? |
| 13:08 |
Denyerec |
I thinkt hat is another solution :) |
| 13:10 |
eeos |
Fanty because some time you cannot modify the installtion too much. |
| 13:10 |
eeos |
also, how do you install over a system extension? |
| 13:10 |
Fanty |
Jigal: same problem with DBAL.. again no exec_REPLACEquery function but a sql_query() function... I'm just gonna stick with sql_query() |
| 13:10 |
Fanty |
eeos: you can install it as a local extension |
| 13:11 |
Fanty |
eeos: I'm pritty sure it would take precedence over the system extension |
| 13:11 |
eeos |
Fanty are you sure, or are you guessing? |
| 13:11 |
Fanty |
eeos: 99% |
| 13:11 |
eeos |
:D:D:D:D |

worried about the remaing |
| 13:12 |
Fanty |
eeos: at least with the 4.0.3 I started working on an plugin for the rte on |
| 13:12 |
Jigal |
Fanty: I use a mix of $GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']->exec_SELECTquery() and ->sql_query() callse :-) |
| 13:13 |
Fanty |
Jigal: I like consequence.. i.e. ALWAYS use one or the other :P |
| 13:13 |
toms |
I have a scpecial PHP-file which needs an GET-Parameter. In my Typo project i like to link to that file. The parameter is set via the href (...?key=value). If I use Ext. URL in RTE for that the RTE reformats my link, so it is broken. What could I do here? |
| 13:14 |
eeos |
and anyway, how doy ou remove the little arrows in the newer extension? |
| 13:16 |
Fanty |
eeos: there is no little arrow |
| 13:17 |
toms |
denyerec: seems we have do make a screenshot of the arrow, to show here... ;) |
| 13:17 |
Jigal |
Fanty: I like to finish the job; preferably in an organised and proper way, but if that's not possible just using the tools I do have at my disposal :-) |
| 13:17 |
eeos |
Fanty I am following your dangerous suggestion |
| 13:17 |
Fanty |
eeos: good luck! ;) |
| 13:17 |
eeos |
Fanty but it only allows me to go up to 1.4.3, not 1.5.1 |
| 13:17 |
Fanty |
Jigal: you paid by the hour? ;P |
| 13:18 |
Fanty |
eeos: think you can download the T3X file from the extensions section of typo3.org |
| 13:18 |
Jigal |
Fanty: no, by the month :-) |
| 13:18 |
Fanty |
eeos: I couldnt get TER to work yesterday |
| 13:18 |
Fanty |
Jigal: you got all the time in the world then..! |
| 13:20 |
eeos |
Fanty yes, it works! |
| 13:20 |
Jigal |
Fanty: today I do... playing around with AJAX a bit; there's a lot waiting for me on Monday though... |
| 13:21 |
toms |
I'll give up for today... No more ideas how to fix |
| 13:22 |
Fanty |
Jigal: wish I had the time to really look into AJAX |
| 13:23 |
smda |
he.. this was a nifty way of configuring the rte http://tinyrte.outraxx.de/buttonconf/?no_cache=1 |
| 13:23 |
eeos |
Jigal are you plaing with ajax doing what? what is it used for? i hought it was only a buzzword, like web2.0, or blue sky thinking :D |
| 13:23 |
caroline |
hi got a big problem :( |
| 13:23 |
caroline |
after updating version 3.8 up to 4.1 Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /Users/<removed>/public_html/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php on line 796 |
| 13:25 |
Fanty |
caroline: in the EM? |
| 13:25 |
caroline |
Fanty: what you mean with EM? |
| 13:25 |
Fanty |
smda: dosent work with firefox |
| 13:25 |
smda |
sure it does Fanty |
| 13:25 |
smda |
I'm using it there at least ;) |
| 13:25 |
Jigal |
eeos: web2.0 is a buzzword used for websites which do not (only) send information to the visitor, but exist of user generated content and rely on user interaction. e.g. YouTube is built on user submitted video; del.icio.us is made of bookmarks and tags. |
| 13:25 |
Fanty |
caroline: where do you get those errors? in the extension manager? |
| 13:26 |
caroline |
no when i like to visit my website |
| 13:26 |
caroline |
theres just nothing, just this failure message |
| 13:26 |
eeos |
Jigal I was really talking about this detergent you mentioned ( :P ), ajax |
| 13:26 |
Fanty |
caroline: ok, then I don't know.. but you could try going to the install tool to do a database compare |
| 13:27 |
eeos |
I have to go, be back in afternoon. |
| 13:27 |
Fanty |
smda: oh, xchat opens stuff in Galeon.. not ff.. that might be it ;) |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
The Install Tool is locked. |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
Fix: Create a file typo3conf/ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
This file may simply be empty. |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
For security reasons, it is highly recommended to rename |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
or delete the file after the operation is finished. |
| 13:27 |
caroline |
Fanty: when i try to open the install tool comes this message: |
| 13:27 |
eeos |
enjoy your meal, whoever is oing to hvelunch break :) |
| 13:28 |
Fanty |
caroline: follow the instructions? |
| 13:28 |
caroline |
what file should i create?php?html??? |
| 13:29 |
Fanty |
caroline: an empty textfile with no extension |
| 13:29 |
caroline |
ok i'll try, brb |
| 13:29 |
Jigal |
eeos: AJAX is essentially about modifying part of the page content with JavaScript and data received from a webserver after the page is loaded (Asynchronous Javascript And XML); but most of the time the library has a whole range of widgets and tools that can (if used wisely) improve the user interaction |
| 13:31 |
caroline |
Fanty: thanks this step has worked |
| 13:31 |
caroline |
what now? |
| 13:32 |
Fanty |
caroline: database analyser -> compare |
| 13:32 |
caroline |
im there |
| 13:33 |
Fanty |
you properly need to run the update wizard too if you haven't |
| 13:35 |
Fanty |
anyway to make it based on an option if the EM should create some specific tables on install of the extension? |
| 13:37 |
caroline |
Fanty: it works now thank you, but my contact form boxes are not more in the sam position, all left alligned |

hi - how do i fake a backend user object? i need it for the tcemain object |
| 15:16 |
redkiwi |
Hello! |
| 15:16 |
redkiwi |
I've a little question about the Google Sitemap Plugin for Typo3 :) |
| 15:17 |
redkiwi |
Is there's someone who has a some time to help me out with it? |
| 15:21 |
brain-xy |
redkiwi ... maybe i can help |
| 15:22 |
redkiwi |
Al right Brain :) |
| 15:22 |
brain-xy |
and i got a question at the same time.. has anybody noticed that in his version of typo3 selected pictures .. whcihc are only used once .. are deleted from the fileadmin? |
| 15:23 |
redkiwi |
Hmm, i didn't noticed that but so far i know, i've problems with that... |
| 15:24 |
redkiwi |
I've insert the Google Sitemap Extension in the backend and it works well. I've put the plugin at a page and when i Preview the page, an XML file is generated with the sitemap. Now, i want to link Google Sitemaps to the XML file that's generated but it isn't clear for me which URL I need to use... The URL from the preview is a PHP URL and Google don't understand that... |
| 15:26 |
brain-xy |
hm.. i never inserted the url into google yet.. some other guys did that in my company :p .. but when i used this extension last time.. i only had a url like http://www.blabla.de/index.php?id=371 |
| 15:27 |
redkiwi |
Indeed, the same here... |
| 15:27 |
redkiwi |
And i've put that URL in Google Sitemaps but they don't like it :) |
| 15:27 |
brain-xy |
what do they say? |
| 15:28 |
redkiwi |
That there's no sitemap found... |
| 15:29 |
brain-xy |
hmm.. |
| 15:29 |
brain-xy |
and the xml is generated correctly? |
| 15:31 |
redkiwi |
Yes, when I preview the page the plugin is inserted, i get a beautifull XML file :) |
| 15:31 |
redkiwi |
Wait for a few seconds please :) |
| 15:31 |
redkiwi |
i think ive a solution |
| 15:37 |

I have been able to load it as labels, but the content is just the record number. :( |

Hi |
| 16:17 |
King76 |
Do you are expert with TCA ? ;) |
| 16:18 |
King76 |
I want to position field in palette number 4 after linkToTop.. this is my code : |
| 16:18 |
King76 |
t3lib_extMgm::addToAllTCAtypes("tt_content","tx_tcafadq_date_fce","","after:linkToTop;;4"); |
| 16:18 |
King76 |
but it don't work ;-( |
| 16:18 |
King76 |
this is new code correct : $TCA['tt_content']['palettes']['4']['showitem'] = 'sys_language_uid, l18n_parent, colPos, spaceBefore, spaceAfter, section_frame, sectionIndex, linkToTop, tx_tcafadq_date_fce'; |
| 16:19 |
King76 |
Do you have solution with t3lib_extMgm::addToAllTCAtypes ? |
| 16:19 |
eeos |
hi. I need to place the content of a column in a table in a select field in the BE. |
| 16:20 |
eeos |
I have been able to place the content of the lcolumn as a label, but not as content. How do you do that? |
| 16:34 |
brain-xy |
gnaa.. is there actually an option to delete used files from the fileadmin?! |
| 16:47 |
eeos |
brain-xy what do you mean? |
| 16:52 |
Krebskasper_ |
can't anyone tell me how to create a backend user object which is not fetched from $GLOBALS['be_user'] ?? |
| 16:54 |

eeos .. when i select a file in .. image with text for example.. and then save it .. the file is deleted.. and i don't know why.. |

eeos |
brain-xy that sounds very strange |
| 17:08 |
brain-xy |
it is.. |

eeos |
brain-xy never heard of such a thing. |
| 17:09 |
brain-xy |
and it is.. imho.. some extension who does this but i don't find such a ext |
| 17:16 |
aempi |
how can i replace the textlinks of the lz_gallery with icons? |
| 17:17 |
aempi |
i tried setting a background image for the surrounding image and set text-size to zero |
| 17:17 |
aempi |
but then nothing happens when i click |
| 17:18 |
aempi |

brain-xy are you using DAM extension? |
| 17:20 |
brain-xy |
no |
| 17:24 |
eeos |
brain-xy have you tried to see which extension is accessing the fileadmin folder? |
| 17:24 |
brain-xy |
no.. not yet.. and i dont't know how :P |

Irix_1 |
Hey everyone, I have tt_news set up but my latest won't automatically update.. first when I clear the cache it works.. anyone know a solution ? |
| 17:31 |
Irix_1 |
news module with latest records.. that is.. |
| 17:32 |
Irix_1 |
:) |
| 17:39 |
vagy |
Irix_1: you need to use a TSConfig steatment that instructs typo to automatically clear the cache of the page(s) showing the news (in your case the page with the tt_news plugin in LATEST mode)....you have to put this steatment in the TS config of the page that the news records get saved. :-) |
| 17:40 |
vagy |
iirc the steatment is clearCacheCmd or something very similar to that...look it up in the docs |
| 17:43 |
Irix_1 |
vagy Thank you very much :) |

| 21:54 |
nkuttler |
:-) i won't give up but am apparently not smart enough to fix it myself |
| 22:02 |
nkuttler |
actually, it only breaks if i try to redirect to a page that only logged in users can view. public pages are fine, redirect + login works... |
| 22:03 |
nkuttler |
let's see... i'll just restrict the rights to content, not the page itself |
| 22:06 |
nkuttler |
ok... fine. whatever. problem kind of solved. time for a drink. |

JFrasier |
hello I have a question about attaching javascripts in the template setup field. I have the google tracking js and a common js that handles my drop down scripts etc. Does each script need to be assigned a different page.headerData number? |
| 22:38 |
JFrasier |
at the moment they are both set to page.headerData.30.value="" |
| 22:39 |
JFrasier |
and since I added the googe script my drop down no longer works |
| 22:39 |
TaucherMK |
look at your html source you get and control what is written in there |
| 22:40 |
JFrasier |
in the HTML source it is only showing the googlescript.js and not the common.js |
| 22:41 |
JFrasier |
so if I set the common.js to page.headerData.30 and set the google to page.headerData.31 would that work? |
| 22:42 |
TaucherMK |
post your code for deeper support, otherwise, try 31 ;-) |
| 22:43 |
vagy |
anybody having problems with TMailform and multilingual labels not showing? |
| 22:44 |
JFrasier |
yup that fixed it I see how it works now. Thanks anyways Taucher |

Phlogiston |
Fab1an-: are you still there..? |
| 22:56 |
Phlogiston |
hello, anyone here using the moc_fileshare manager? can u tell me if you have a table called tx_mocfilemanager_logs in your db? Here the the db files has like 20000 entries, is this normal? Do you have so many entries too? Thanks a lot |
| 23:16 |
uschi |
someone still awake having experience with doktype shortcut and CUR and ACT in menues? |
| 23:28 |
Denyerec |
In what way Uschi? |
| 23:28 |
uschi |
i have a menu |
| 23:28 |
uschi |
you remember the story about my portals? |
| 23:29 |
uschi |
so i have the start page of such a portal |
| 23:29 |
uschi |
let us say: German as a foreign language uid 454 |
| 23:30 |
uschi |
below that is page of doktype shortcut "home" with uid 4711. the target of the shortcut is German as a foreign languag |
| 23:30 |
uschi |
e |
| 23:31 |
uschi |
menu works fine apart from the fact that the menu states CUR and ACT are not respected for my shortcut |
| 23:32 |
uschi |
tobi recommended a snippet from typo3wizard.com (http://www.typo3wizard.com/en/snippets/menus/externe-links-und-shortcuts-direkt-im-menue.html) |
| 23:32 |
uschi |
but it does not work because the doNotLinkIt = 1 is not respected in CASE 4 |
| 23:33 |
uschi |
so i get two nested links for home: the outer links to the shortcut itself and the inner to the target page |
| 23:33 |
uschi |
understand what i mean Denyerec? |
| 23:34 |
Denyerec |
Hmmm. |
| 23:34 |
Denyerec |
I seem to remember coming across the shortcut cur/active thing |
| 23:34 |
uschi |
and? |
| 23:34 |
Denyerec |
and it's because page 5 is active, but the shortcut is for example page 55 |
| 23:34 |
uschi |
right |
| 23:34 |
uschi |
o yes please |
| 23:35 |
Denyerec |
http://wilcoding.xs4all.nl/Wilco/Pastecode/4302/showpaste.aspx |
| 23:35 |
Denyerec |
That's what I used to point fix the shortcut links. |
| 23:35 |
Denyerec |
This *may* be the same code you're looking at. |
| 23:35 |
Denyerec |
My implementation was a lot simpler. |
| 23:36 |
uschi |
no, it is different |
| 23:36 |
uschi |
because it uses allStdWrap |
| 23:37 |
uschi |
and override |
| 23:37 |
uschi |
this might do the job :)) |
| 23:37 |
uschi |
if have to understand what you coded there |
| 23:38 |
uschi |
no, i do not have to |
| 23:38 |
uschi |
i think i got it |
| 23:38 |
Denyerec |
it basically re-writes the typolink with the target of the shortcut |
| 23:38 |
Denyerec |
rather than the shortcut page ID itself. |
| 23:38 |
uschi |
yes this what tobis solution does |
| 23:38 |
Denyerec |
From there, ACT and CUR should behave. |
| 23:38 |
uschi |
but in a different way |
| 23:39 |
uschi |
ok |
| 23:39 |
uschi |
i will try |
| 23:39 |
Denyerec |
I don't know where I got mine from. |
| 23:39 |
Denyerec |
I refuse to believe that I came up with it myself. |
| 23:40 |
uschi |
i will try it out |
| 23:40 |
uschi |
why do you put ACT to doNotLinkIt? |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
I haven't the faintest idea. |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
Oh |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
I probably wanted CUR to be donotlinkit |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
as you don't want to click on the page you're on already |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
or... something |
| 23:43 |
Denyerec |
it's possible that that bit didn't make it to the final site, |
| 23:43 |
Denyerec |
I often cut the snippets out and save them when I get them working |
| 23:43 |
uschi |
ok |
