hi all |
| 13:33 |
solshark |
Hello all. I'm user sr_feuser_register and direct_mail. Then user register and salact all needed maillists, selection isn't save under registration process. If user login and edit his profile, all maillist topics save fine. Any idea? |
| 13:33 |
solshark |
s/salact/select |
| 13:57 |
solshark |
Peoples, my sr_feuser_register isn't save direct_mail categories upon registration. But if registered user login and edit profile, categories save normal. How can i fix this? |

hello people |
| 15:12 |
Phlogi_ |
hello |
| 15:21 |
pmk65 |
Hi is anyone here using Safari or Konqueror browsers? |
| 15:22 |
solshark |
I'm use Konqueror |
| 15:22 |
Shaq |
Hi |
| 15:22 |
Shaq |
can anybody tell me if i can use COA with USER ? |
| 15:22 |
pmk65 |
solshark: could you test if this displays ok in Konq.? --> http://www.sharemation.com/typo3test/mooslide4.html |
| 15:22 |
solshark |
pmk65: Yes, moment |
| 15:23 |
pmk65 |
Shaq: You can put a USER object inside a COA object if thats what you need. |
| 15:23 |
Shaq |
yes thats what i need |
| 15:23 |
pmk65 |
solshark: when you hover over the images, the caption should scroll up. |
| 15:24 |
Shaq |
but there is nothing to see at the FE. Then i will search again for the error |
| 15:24 |
Hendrix |
Anyone know if the indexed search-result can handle language-versions of itself? |
| 15:25 |
solshark |
pmk65: It's work fine. |
| 15:25 |
pmk65 |
great. I'll add that to the docs once I get time to write it :) |
| 15:25 |
Hendrix |
Or rather of course it does but the extended characters in my default language are turning out real weird. |
| 15:25 |
solshark |
pmk65: Perfect |
| 15:26 |
pmk65 |
Shaq: Is it a regular USER object? not USER_INT, as there's is a problem with using USER_INT and COA_INT objects together. |
| 15:28 |
pmk65 |
Hendrix: Are you using UTF-8, if not that could be why you see weird characters. |
| 15:28 |
Shaq |
pmk65: No, it`s a regular USER Object for tipafriend |
| 15:29 |
pmk65 |
show me the code. |
| 15:29 |
Hendrix |
Yeah. Iäm using UTF-8 throuout the entire site including the database. |
| 15:30 |
Hendrix |
And the locallang.xml file... |
| 15:30 |
Shaq |
pmk65: http://phpfi.com/270430 |
| 15:31 |
pmk65 |
Hendrix: Maybe this is related to your problem? http://lists.netfielders.de/pipermail/typo3-english/2007-October/043466.html |
| 15:32 |
pmk65 |
Shaq: You are not using a COA, but a COA_INT. That's why it doesn't work. |
| 15:34 |
Shaq |
pmk65: How can i fix this problem ? |
| 15:34 |
Shaq |
ouh sry, this COA_INT is only for testing |
| 15:34 |
Shaq |
normaly there was COA |
| 15:35 |
Shaq |
and this also doesn`t work |
| 15:35 |
Shaq |
there is no link in the frontend |
| 15:35 |
Hendrix |
pmk65: That's really strange. When I only had English in my locallang.xml it searched for extended characters as well. But since I added a new language to locallang.xml it doesn't seem to work any more... |
| 15:36 |
Phlogi_ |
Shaq: maybe lib.sub_content is not recognized correctly? Did you check that? |
| 15:37 |
Phlogi_ |
try something like lib.sub_content = TEXT lib.sub_content.value = foo |
| 15:37 |
Shaq |
yes, the lib_sub.content < temp.print works fine |
| 15:37 |
Shaq |
and also lib.sub_content = HTML // .value = foo works fine, too |
| 15:38 |
Phlogi_ |
so what does not work again? |
| 15:38 |
pmk65 |
Shaq: You could try the TS based solution for making Tip-A-Friend links. --> http://www.typo3wizard.com/en/snippets/general-config/tip-a-friend-link-mit-typoscript-erstellen.html#c490 |
| 15:39 |
Hendrix |
pmk65: Oops. My settings changed to distinct words. |
| 15:40 |
Shaq |
Phlogi_: The lib.sub_content.30 < temp.tipafriend doesn`t work |
| 15:41 |
pmk65 |
Hendrix: It soulds like your locallang.xml is not UTF-8 anymore.. Did you edit it 'by hand' or using one of the translation extensions? |
| 15:41 |
Phlogi_ |
hmm Shaq dunno, maybe that tipafriend object is wrong |
| 15:41 |
Hendrix |
Using my steadfast TextWrangler-editor. =) |
| 15:42 |
Phlogi_ |
the lib.sub_content.30 looks fine in object browser Shaq? |
| 15:42 |
pmk65 |
Hendrix: that might be why.. I had similar problems if I edited it externally. Try installing "LFEditor" and see if the translations looks ok (no weird craracters) |
| 15:43 |
pmk65 |
If you DO see weird chars, then your locallang.xml IS NOT in UTF-8 anymore. |
| 15:43 |
Shaq |
Phlogi_: I`ll have a look at it |
| 15:44 |
Shaq |
yes looks fine |
| 15:45 |
solshark |
Peoples, my sr_feuser_register isn't save direct_mail categories upon registration. But if registered user login and edit profile, categories save normal. How can i fix this? |
| 15:45 |
Phlogi_ |
Shaq: hmm sorry never used tipafriend, so I'm out of ideas |
| 15:47 |
Shaq |
hm, there could be a problem with realurl i think |
| 15:55 |
Hendrix |
pmk65: I looked in edit files in the extension manager and there it looks okey. No weird characters. |
| 15:56 |
Hendrix |
pmk65: I wonder if some function used to output/modify the labels might not be multibyte compliant? |
| 15:56 |
Hendrix |
But it would seem like a serious bug and one that should have been discovered. |
| 16:07 |
Shaq |
hmm, now i try to build the tipalink link myself. But how could i use the sitename in TS ? with TSFE:id i got the ID, how can i get the Sitename ? |
| 16:08 |
Shaq |
or is there some option to get the whole url where you now are? |
| 16:11 |
Shaq |
yeah, data = page:title works |
| 16:17 |
Hendrix |
pmk65: This post however was very helpful: http://www.typo3-jack.net/typo3-english-lists-netfielders-de/4794-typo3-special-chars-xml-locallang-files.html |
| 16:18 |
Hendrix |
Turns out you can't use extended chars in the default language for some reason or other... |
| 18:49 |
tsrepadmin |

hi there |
| 21:39 |
Hendrix |
Hi there. |
| 21:47 |
a7p |
moin |
| 21:48 |
a7p |
does anyone know how to escape whitespaces in css anchors. |
| 21:50 |
a7p |
I've got these anchors in typo3-page, <div class="tx-rgsmoothgallery-pi1 rgsgnest1"> an I do not know how to address them via css. |
| 21:52 |
pmk65 |
a7p: thats just 2 different class'es for the same element. You just need one of them to style it.. |
| 21:52 |
a7p |
ah, thanks ... |
| 21:53 |
a7p |
stupid me |
| 22:13 |
Maik |
hi |
| 22:20 |
Hendrix |
Hi. |
| 23:18 |
Denyerec |
Any extension devvers awake and paying attenion ? |
| 23:20 |
Denyerec |
I need to add record "sliding" to another extension. |
| 23:20 |
Denyerec |
namely seo_basic |
| 23:34 |
Hendrix |
Record sliding? |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
YEah |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
that's when if a record has no value, it goes to its parent, and then the grandparent, etc |
| 23:42 |
Denyerec |
until it hits a record that DOES have a value |
| 23:44 |
voidus |
Denyerec: what is parent of record? |
| 23:45 |
Denyerec |
well voidus |
| 23:45 |
Denyerec |
do you have 10 minutes? |
| 23:45 |
voidus |
yes |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
Ok |
| 23:46 |
elbart |
ohh... good evening ;) |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
hey el |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/seo_basics/0.3.1/ |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
Check that extension voidus |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
It allows you to add Description, Keywords and Title to any page. |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
BUT |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
sadly |
| 23:46 |
Denyerec |
if you do NOT enter anything, it leaves the bloody things blank. |
| 23:47 |
Denyerec |
It would be perfect, if blank entries would "slide" up to the parent |
| 23:47 |
Denyerec |
if you see what I mean |
| 23:47 |
Denyerec |
so if you set a page title on the root page, then all subpages would get it. |
| 23:47 |
Denyerec |
am I making sense ? |
| 23:47 |
voidus |
yes, i understand it |
| 23:49 |
Denyerec |
the ability to prefix or suffix the title field with the main site title would be nice too. |
| 23:49 |
Denyerec |
how difficult is it to add such functionality to such an extension? |
| 23:49 |
voidus |
one second.. |
| 23:50 |
voidus |
extension consists of 2 parts |
| 23:50 |
voidus |
1) fe-plugin |
| 23:50 |
voidus |
2) xml sitemap |
| 23:50 |
voidus |
are they both affected or only one of them? |
| 23:51 |
voidus |
Denyerec: |
| 23:52 |
Denyerec |
There's two parts? |
| 23:52 |
Denyerec |
:) |
| 23:52 |
Denyerec |
afaik there's a backend page, which allows easy editing of every pages Description, Title and Keyword advanced fields. |
| 23:53 |
voidus |
yes. |
| 23:53 |
Denyerec |
Then there's some magic to extract those, and insert them into the header using a bit of TS |
| 23:53 |
Denyerec |
and possibly some PHP |
| 23:53 |
voidus |
ok, only page header. |
| 23:53 |
voidus |
so you don't use xml sitemap :) |
| 23:57 |
Denyerec |
Is that part of the extension? I was only interested in the meta header info... |
| 23:58 |
voidus |
Denyerec: yes, it's part.. |
| 23:58 |
Denyerec |
Well, how hard would it be to add the "sliding" and the possibility for prefixing something to the title on every page/ |
| 23:59 |
voidus |
i am thinking about it.. is it possible to make sliding HMENU? |
