Fanty: create a copy of ext A's flexform XML, and add it to B. Then do your modifications in the one in B. and then in ext_tables.php, override the addPiFlexFormValue of A with a new one pointing to the XML in B. |

Fanty: maybe you can find a hook that is used before displaying the plugin? That way it should be possible to inject your code in the XML (or array, if it's already parsed) before it is displayed. |

i removed all dynamic content from a typo3 page and modified each plugin from USER_INT to USER, but still when i load that page the access.log shows the http return code 200 instead of (i think) 304, for not modified.. |

moodaepo: I haven't found it to be harder than most other TYPO3 upgrades. Of course, depends on what extensions you have installed, whether they are PHP5 ready, etc. |
