Extbase tells me I'm not giving it an object but an array. This seems to be related to the fields of the array which are then converted/mapped to an object... but I have to add [uid] for updating, but then it's not mappable anymore ;/ |

no apache error messages whatsoever, no php errors either |

What's the best thing to use to manage RealURL links ? |
| 11:10 |
marcuslind |
Hi chan! When creating a reference of a pagecontent it seems as if I need to clear the cache for the reference to update. Is there any way to remove this? :) |
| 11:10 |
Denjerek |
I'm using the "realurl management" extension presently |
| 11:10 |
Denjerek |
but it's incredibly erratic |
| 11:10 |
Denjerek |
EG if I set a page to "Do not include in speaking URL" |
| 11:10 |
Denjerek |
then clear all my caches |
| 11:11 |
Denjerek |
the setting, whilst showing as "Enabled", is not used. |
| 11:15 |
pmk65 |
"Do not include in speaking URL" is part of realurl itself, not the "realurl management" extension- |
| 11:15 |
Denjerek |
Then what could be amiss ? |
| 11:15 |
Denjerek |
the URL was: |
| 11:15 |
Denjerek |
domain.com/products/buttons/stuff |
| 11:16 |
Denjerek |
so I ticked "Do not include in speaking URL" on 'products' |
| 11:16 |
Denjerek |
which yeilded: |
| 11:16 |
Denjerek |
domain.com/buttons/stuff |
| 11:16 |
iaj |
lo there.. any1 got experience with powermail? :S I need to change the recipient to an adress which is filled in in the current form :/ |
| 11:16 |
Denjerek |
However something (And I think it's when I clear all caches) causes it to return to the original URL, even though the tickbox remains checked when I look at the page settings. |
| 11:18 |
pmk65 |
Denjerek: Is it a live site? |
| 11:19 |
Denjerek |
Yes |
| 11:19 |
pmk65 |
You can try deleting all the RealURL DB tables then everything should be reset. |
| 11:19 |
PiMB |
backup first ;) |
| 11:19 |
Denjerek |
yes I did that, then to get it working I had to go to page settings, untick, save, then re-tick |
| 11:24 |
nd___ |
Argh... if I set my properties of my class to public and just json_encode the object, it get's pushed out just fine ;/ |
| 11:24 |
nd___ |
hopefully I can feed in that too |
| 11:29 |
Thasmo |
Hello folks! Does anybody know how to extend an extension table AND a domain model with a custom field, with Extbase? |
| 11:41 |
nd___ |
Thasmo: yourmodel extends hismodel? |
| 11:48 |
Thasmo |
My model does extend the model of the extension model - the problem is that my model is not used - still the other model will be used/loaded. This relies on the fact, that the extension uses an own repository, fetching its models. So I guess there's no easy way to get the extension to use the new model instead of the own. |
| 11:50 |
Thasmo |
I extended TCA and stuff, created my model extending the extension model - in the backend the new fields/properties are also shown - the problem is, that the new methods 'getNewField()' etc. which are implemented in my model, are not used, because my model is not used by the extension. |
| 11:52 |
Thasmo |
nd___, the problem is, that the extension I want to extent, explicitly uses '$this->objectRepository = t3lib_div::makeInstance('Tx_EXT_Domain_Repository_ObjectRepository');' to load the repository - und thus will always return Tx_EXT_Domain_ models - at least thats what I believe. |
| 11:53 |
Thasmo |
Or how would I tell Extbase to use the new model class? |
| 11:53 |
Thasmo |
I think there is no explicit mapping for this? |
| 11:54 |
Denjerek |
I wish I understood half of what you're on about. |
| 11:54 |

And are you using the flash upload widget? |
| 11:56 |
nd___ |
Thasmo: You also extend his controller and then rewrite it? |

Thasmo: But then again you probably have to rewrite a lot |

Thasmo |
hehe |

i dont extend the controller .... |

nd___, nevertheless I'm in hurry - thanks anyways. Ciao. |

| 11:59 |
Denjerek |
If you're not using the flash uploader,t hen check your apache log |

it might be a permissions issue on the target upload folder |

Since it's an eID extension there's no TSFE, so that's why I create a TSFE object in the function (I need TSFE in order to call the pageErrorHandler function) |
| 13:00 |

not the images itself |

nd76 |
ok, but i've just a frontend pluging, started using the kickstarter. i dont know what eID is... |

ah, ok. in my case i've got an TSFE, so i just need to use $tsfe->pageErrorHandler(...) |

pi_linkTP($str,$urlParameters=array(),$cache=0,$altPageId=0) |
| 13:29 |
nd76 |
pi_linkTP also returns everything wrappen in <a> tags... |
| 13:29 |
pmk65 |
if you just want to clerar the piVars, then set the 4th parameter of pi_linkTP_keepPIvars_url() |
| 13:30 |
nd76 |
ah, fine! |
| 13:31 |
nd76 |
and with pi_linkTP, can i set array('title'=>$title') as $urlParameters so that it generates the title-tag? |
| 13:32 |
atmos4 |
I don't think so |
| 13:32 |
atmos4 |
sat would add &title=$title to your url |
| 13:33 |
atmos4 |
but your could use pi_linkTP:keepPIvar_url() which only returns the href part (url) |
| 13:33 |
atmos4 |
that : is supposed to be an _ |
| 13:34 |
slyngex |
Good morning. |
| 13:34 |
atmos4 |
but I just saw there is a $paramas parameter to pi_linkTP which can be used for that |
| 13:34 |
paese |
when i access a page with, e.g. index.php?id=45&sid=2, how can i modify my secondlevel-navigation so that sid=2 is appended to the string? |
| 13:35 |
atmos4 |
nd76: but it's set using $this->cObj->addParams($link,$params); |
| 13:36 |
atmos4 |
so you'd first generate the link with pi_linkTP |
| 13:36 |
atmos4 |
though the syntax used is probably shorter with the _url variant |
| 13:39 |
elmargol |
Hi I'm using gifbuilder and try to apply a mask. If I do that my image is all black. any ideas? |
| 13:40 |
paese |
elmargol check image processing in install tool |
| 13:40 |
paese |
also, try to go to basic configuration, scroll down and hit save so typo3 saves basic gathered informatinos about gd/im |
| 13:42 |
elmargol |
paese: i allready checked the install tool |
| 13:45 |
beli |
elmargol: image stuff is related to IM, GM and gdlib/gdlib2 |
| 13:45 |
beli |
elmargol: make sure your settings are correct |
| 13:45 |
elmargol |
"GIF to JPG, 150 pixels wide" this is somehow inverted |
| 13:45 |
beli |
elmargol: i recommend to use GM if possible, since IM has many diffent incompatible versions |
| 13:50 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: gif too jpg test always has a black background when using imagemagick I think |
| 13:50 |
atmos4 |
at least with im6 |
| 13:51 |
atmos4 |
btw. if you're working with 24bit png input files you don't need a mask , but can use alpha transparency fromt he file |
| 13:51 |
atmos4 |
oh I mean 32bit png |
| 13:51 |
atmos4 |
24bit has no alpha channel =) |
| 13:53 |
elmargol |
atmos4: i use png an jpeg |

Hi guys |
| 13:55 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: and what are you trying to achieve? |
| 13:55 |
elmargol |
I try do merge 2 images |
| 13:55 |
atmos4 |
ah ok |
| 13:56 |
elmargol |
header on top of an image |
| 13:56 |
atmos4 |
so your header is always the same? or uzploaded by users? |
| 13:57 |
elmargol |
my header is always the same. the image changes |
| 13:57 |
elmargol |
I upload a sample how it should look |

I have problems with tt_news category permissions. non-admin editors can´t add categories to news. I think the configuration is correct: Access Rights and tt_news: allowed/visible categories. Indeed, the can see category list and add one but when it´s save field is blank. ¿Any suggestion? |
| 14:00 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: the simply use üng 32bit for the header |
| 14:00 |
elmargol |
atmos4: http://img683.imageshack.us/i/samplet.png/ <- |
| 14:00 |
atmos4 |
yea that would work |
| 14:01 |
elmargol |
You reccomend I use a 32bit png for the header? and use the alpha channel? |
| 14:01 |
atmos4 |
yes |
| 14:01 |
atmos4 |
easiest way |
| 14:01 |
elmargol |
atmos4: thank you :) i try this |
| 14:01 |
atmos4 |
I use the same technique for the header on http://www.bpw-fahrzeugtechnik.de/ |
| 14:02 |
elmargol |
i tried this using css.... IE6 makes my life hard :( |
| 14:02 |
elmargol |
every f*cking time |
| 14:02 |
beli |
someone else her using mw_imagemap? |
| 14:02 |
elmargol |
png does not work on ie6 and gif looks ugly |
| 14:02 |
atmos4 |
yea IE6 is a major headache |
| 14:03 |
beli |
i cannot define areas for clicking...no x/y data is transfered to the fields when clicking/selecting on the image |
| 14:03 |
elmargol |
I don't get it why microsoft does not force update all xp users to at least 7 *g* |
| 14:03 |
atmos4 |
well many users simply don't update |
| 14:03 |
atmos4 |
and there's even nt4 users for which ie6 is the latest ie version available |
| 14:03 |
atmos4 |
although that number should be very small today =) |
| 14:04 |
elmargol |
I don't have any NT4 users anymore in my stats |
| 14:04 |
atmos4 |
but I do now some people that use 10 year old pcs with nt4 |
| 14:04 |
maholtz|WORK |
afaik Microsoft supports IE6 for 12 years |
| 14:04 |
maholtz|WORK |
4 year end user support, 4 years business support, 4 years security |
| 14:04 |
elmargol |
Well if you are using nt4 you could at least use netscape^^ or opera |
| 14:04 |
maholtz|WORK |
and afaik they do not like it too |
| 14:04 |
maholtz|WORK |
f.e. sharepoint 2010 doesnt support ie6 |
| 14:05 |
maholtz|WORK |
(but safari and firefox) |
| 14:05 |
atmos4 |
IMHO even the microsoft homepage has display problems with ie6 |
| 14:05 |
elmargol |
I like the chrome plugin for IE *g* |
| 14:06 |
maholtz|WORK |
its sometimes too expensive to update ie6 |
| 14:06 |
atmos4 |
btw. I usally see the highest percentage of visitors using firefox 3.5 |
| 14:06 |
maholtz|WORK |
well, that depends on page focus |
| 14:06 |
PiMB |
depends on target |
| 14:06 |
elmargol |
maholtz|WORK: ie8 can emulate ie6 just fine... |
| 14:06 |
maholtz|WORK |
typically large companys are using IE6/7 |
| 14:06 |
elmargol |
all you need is 1 line added to the html via your company proxy *g* |
| 14:07 |
maholtz|WORK |
@elmargol: it is not about emulate ie6, its about an roll out of a new browser version, with many business applications based on IE5.5. f.e. |
| 14:07 |
elmargol |
when does ie6 support end? |
| 14:08 |
elmargol |
2012? |
| 14:08 |
PiMB |
never |
| 14:08 |
atmos4 |
I see higherst usage on ff 3.5, followed by ie8 and ie7 each about same distribution and then ie6, which sadly still has pretty high distribution |
| 14:09 |
atmos4 |
large companies would be using ie8 most likely |
| 14:09 |
paese |
ie6 "support" has stopped in 2000 .. the only people supporting ie6 are web dev's |
| 14:09 |
atmos4 |
because they'll be pushing ms updates regularly |
| 14:10 |
maholtz|WORK |
@paese: when was ie6 released? |
| 14:10 |
paese |
maholtz err, i mean 2002 |
| 14:10 |
paese |
;) |
| 14:10 |
atmos4 |
I wouldn't care when support ends |
| 14:11 |
atmos4 |
but if user percentage goes down to like 1% it's not worth caring anymore |
| 14:11 |
paese |
i would care when there are newer versions |
| 14:11 |
atmos4 |
like with ie 5.5 /5.0 today |
| 14:11 |
elmargol |
gimp can't export 32bit png? |
| 14:11 |
atmos4 |
I'm sure it can |
| 14:11 |
atmos4 |
enable alpha tranparency |
| 14:12 |
atmos4 |
then it'll be 32bit., otherwise 24bit |
| 14:12 |
maholtz|WORK |
well, if your customer uses ie6 you will support it for their website :/ |
| 14:12 |
paese |
maholtz|WORK unfortunately.. but only limited |
| 14:12 |
atmos4 |
if my customer uses IE6 I'll tell him to use safari or chrome =) |
| 14:12 |
atmos4 |
or at least ie8 |
| 14:12 |
elmargol |
if I use 32bit png I don't need a mask right? |
| 14:12 |
paese |
were also telling our customers to update ie or using firefox |

elmargol |
works for both and costs 50% less for my customer |
| 14:13 |
paese |
@elmargol +1 |
| 14:14 |
atmos4 |
I'm starting using css3 features, so IE users get less but till can work with the page |
| 14:14 |
paese |
@pmk65 is that a port of stopie6.com ? |
| 14:14 |
atmos4 |
but currently you stillo need to be compatible with ie6 |
| 14:14 |
atmos4 |
although I don't spend too much effort getting a 100% match of page display with ie6 |
| 14:15 |
pmk65 |
no. Its a script I wrote after spending 6 hours trying to get a JS to work correctly on IE.. |
| 14:15 |
pmk65 |
It looks like this: -> http://img194.yfrog.com/img194/4292/screenshottgd.png |
| 14:16 |
paese |
looks similiar to ie6update.com, i've implemented it on my current emplyer's page |
| 14:16 |
paese |
;9 |
| 14:16 |
paese |
;) |
| 14:16 |
atmos4 |
pmk65: I wouldn't discriminate users on a customers page |
| 14:16 |
paese |
nope, it's not discriminating |
| 14:16 |
atmos4 |
at least I would choose less harsh naming |
| 14:17 |
paese |
it's just an adice that pops up saying you're using an old and unsecure browser and that we advise an update |
| 14:17 |
paese |
nope, harsh would be in a wrong place on such a page |
| 14:17 |
paese |
you,re right |
| 14:19 |
atmos4 |
once xp vanishes we'll finally get rid of IE6 |
| 14:20 |
atmos4 |
another prob is, that microsoft has made install of newer ie versions optional and not included it in service packs |
| 14:21 |
atmos4 |
you can still run xp sp3 with all updates and use IE6 |
| 14:21 |
paese |
jup.. sort of dependent updates would be nice |
| 14:21 |
atmos4 |
you just have to cancel the ie7/ie8 update when it asks you |
| 14:21 |
elmargol |
strange gifbuilder destroys the alpha channel on the generated image |
| 14:21 |
elmargol |
its just some grey blocks :( |
| 14:21 |
pmk65 |
its fully configurable, so you decide what IE versions should see the bar, and also what text and link you want. |
| 14:21 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: it shouldn't |
| 14:21 |
elmargol |
i take a screenshot |
| 14:21 |
atmos4 |
what typo3 and imagemagick versiona re you using? |
| 14:22 |
paese |
elmargol where are you using your transparent image? maybe you need to define transparency in TS (for amenu img) and set the color which will be transparent, too |
| 14:23 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: you also have to define the background image, because the final file will not have alpha tranparency |
| 14:23 |
atmos4 |
but individual layers can use it |
| 14:23 |
elmargol |
atmos4: i have the image as background... |
| 14:23 |
atmos4 |
that should work |
| 14:24 |
atmos4 |
have you enable png truecolor option in localcong? |
| 14:24 |
atmos4 |
localconf |
| 14:24 |
notlistening |
Right i am getting no apache errors and typo3 is throwing this error message everytime i am trying to upload an image : 2: The upload has failed, no uploaded file found! |

elmargol |
typo 4.2.8 IM 6.5.4-8 |
| 14:25 |
notlistening |
any ideas as I am stumped |
| 14:25 |
atmos4 |
hmm should work, although I'd recommend updating to 4.2.11 at least |
| 14:25 |
elmargol |
http://img191.imageshack.us/i/sample2x.png/ <- thats how it looks |
| 14:25 |
atmos4 |
notlistening: did you check the permisions on the uplaod folder? |
| 14:26 |
notlistening |
i changed permissions as much as i know how to |
| 14:26 |
atmos4 |
anywys that should log an error to apaxche error log |
| 14:26 |
elmargol |
atmos4: 4.2.11 is on the live site... this is just my VM sandbox |
| 14:27 |
atmos4 |
elmargol: enable true color png |
| 14:27 |
atmos4 |
in locaslconf |
| 14:27 |
elmargol |
atmos4: ok i try |
| 14:27 |
atmos4 |
this is the 8bit dithering I think |
| 14:27 |
atmos4 |
while the installtool says jpg is always generated as 24bit, that isn't true |
| 14:27 |
atmos4 |
it only works if png truecolor is enabled |
| 14:29 |
elmargol |
atmos4: no difference |
| 14:29 |
atmos4 |
well change some parameter in the ts setup and flush typo3 cache, so the file gets regenerated |

jpq_quality |
| 14:31 |

you're images are cached to disk, so processing time is not really an issue |

yea, but where? file manager module, extension, direct upload in cointent element |

it all goes to different folders |

hmm ok, so look at fileadmin dir |
| 14:37 |
atmos4 |
and if you're uplaoding to a subfolder of fileadmin also the permissions on the subfolder |
| 14:37 |
atmos4 |
if you create dirs using ftp they often have wrong permissions for webserver to access them for writing |

well i have looked at the permissions of that folder too and they ar eokay i think |
| 14:38 |
atmos4 |
well if they're not woned by www-data you'd have to make them world writable |
| 14:38 |
elmargol |
atmos4: works perfekt now :) thank you |

JD-Robbs |
Hehehe |
| 14:40 |

elmargol: np |
| 14:41 |
atmos4 |
btw. I noticed that in typo3 4.3 it's possible to use params on individual gifbuilder layers |
| 14:41 |
atmos4 |
so one can do nice dropshadow with only two layers |
| 14:41 |
atmos4 |
even with images using alpha tranparency |
| 14:42 |
atmos4 |
sth. like 10.file.params = -shadow 80x3+5+5 and then overlay the same wile in 20 without the params |
| 14:42 |
atmos4 |
the same image |

atmos4 |
which typo3 version do you use? |
| 14:45 |
notlistening |
a broken one :D |
| 14:45 |
atmos4 |
well 4.3 is using a flash based uploaded |
| 14:45 |
atmos4 |
and if youa re using .htacces directory protection it won't work |

because the login credentials aen't pased to the flash plugin |

why are you all working with stoneage versions of typo3 =) |
| 14:46 |

anyways should work fine in 4.2.6 |
| 14:46 |
atmos4 |
no flash uploaded there |

nevery tried that |

I've a bit strange typing today ;-) |

BejjWrk |
atmos4: , yes till weekend, i have the sadest job ever, hired to code php, but yet im stuck doing typoscript, css and html.. |
| 14:48 |
notlistening |
So acourse of action might be to wipe my install and install Typo3 from typo3.org deb files then come back if i am stuck? |
| 14:49 |
atmos4 |
BejjWrk: because the designers sucked at preparing the layout or why? |
| 14:49 |
BejjWrk |
no, because my boss is a retard |
| 14:49 |
atmos4 |
:-) |
| 14:49 |
BejjWrk |
i think its time to widen my horizons |
| 14:50 |
atmos4 |
well typoscript is pretty powerful, but error prone |
| 14:50 |
atmos4 |
because it has no syntax validation |
| 14:50 |
atmos4 |
so it's very hard to debug |
| 14:50 |
BejjWrk |
yep, its also very hard to determine how exactly extensions interpret their own ts |
| 14:51 |
BejjWrk |
as there are basicly no rules |
| 14:51 |
atmos4 |
yes |
| 14:51 |
atmos4 |
some only allow certain config directives and some filter through cObject, so all typo3 stuff is allowed |
| 14:51 |
atmos4 |
but generally the defasult setup for an ext is a good starting point to see what's allowed |
| 14:54 |
paese |
can someone tell me how to append GET params to a ts hmenu? the first page is accessed with additional get params and i need to maintain these over the next pages |
| 14:55 |
atmos4 |
paese: theres a ts parameter to typolink |
| 14:55 |
atmos4 |
additionalParams or sth |
| 14:55 |
atmos4 |
let me take a look |
| 14:55 |
paese |
i tried stdwrap.typolink.additionalParams but there is n oadditional output |
| 14:57 |
atmos4 |
I think the NO state or whatever already is a typolink object |
| 14:57 |
atmos4 |
so you could try NO.additionalParams |
| 14:57 |
paese |
ok |
| 14:58 |
notlistening |
right i am going for a reinstall |
| 14:59 |
notlistening |
ii am starting to dislike typo3 already |
| 14:59 |
atmos4 |
I don't think typo3 is much at fault there |
| 14:59 |
atmos4 |
but it IS a very complex system |
| 14:59 |
atmos4 |
prepare for at least a month of working your way into it |
| 14:59 |
maholtz|WORK |

paese |
ok, i'll try both to know better :) |
| 15:06 |
atmos4 |
pmks version will auto-add all get parameters besides id and language, very nice |
| 15:09 |
pmk65 |
id amd language is added by default. If you don't exclude those, you get double parameters (doesn't resally matters as it uses the 1st one, but it looks ugly.) |
| 15:11 |
atmos4 |
just noticed I use very similar code to genereate <link real="canonical" /> headers (to suppress duplicate content to search engines) |
| 15:11 |
atmos4 |
rel="canonical" of course |

but it still won't append &sid=xy |

maybe someone knows: i try to use getTypoLink in a backend module, after making an instance of cObj like this: $cObj=t3lib_div::makeInstance('tslib_cObj'); |
| 15:55 |
paese |
the whole menu |
| 15:55 |
kotelette |
but if i call echo $cObj->getTypoLink('hallo',8); |
| 15:55 |
kotelette |
it gets me this: Call to a member function getPage_noCheck() on a non-object in /xxxx/typo3_src-4.2.8/typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/class.tslib_content.php on line 5200 |
| 15:56 |
atmos4 |
paese: just found sth similar in one of my templates, wait a sec |
| 15:57 |
paese |
thx |
| 15:58 |
pmk65 |
kotelette: $cObj is for FE use, not BE. If you want to use it in BE you need to setup a full TSFE object (Which isn't that easy) |
| 15:58 |
kotelette |
i found that solution on several forums but it does not work for me :( |
| 15:59 |
pmk65 |
best solution is to use Dmitry's pagepath extension.. -> http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/pagepath/current/ |
| 15:59 |
kotelette |
ah cool thx i'll try that |
| 15:59 |

with that, you just call the api function, and it returns a nice realurl/cooluri'ed link. |
| 16:00 |
paese |
i will |

pmk65 |
kotelette: I have used it in one of my ext, if you need an example to look at.. -> http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/pmkttnewstwitter/current/ |

try instead of typolink.field to use typolink.parameter.data = field:uid |

nope |

paese |
err, sec |

hmm $this->content .= '<br>URL: "'.$pagepath.'"'; |
| 16:05 |
paese |
yup, works, thanks a lot |
| 16:05 |
atmos4 |
X-) |
| 16:05 |
kotelette |
the output is URL: "" |
| 16:06 |
kotelette |
:( |
| 16:06 |
atmos4 |
the magic of stdwrap |
| 16:06 |
kotelette |
called $pagepath = tx_pagepath_api::getPagePath(8); |
| 16:06 |
kotelette |
where 8 is an existing page |
| 16:07 |
atmos4 |
kotelette: I think you could also use the SITE_PATH and just add index.php?id=page |
| 16:08 |
pmk65 |
kotelette:did you include the api? |
| 16:08 |
kotelette |
yes but i need the realrul link since i'm implementing a forward for a staticpub's index.html |
| 16:08 |
atmos4 |
ah ok |
| 16:08 |
kotelette |
include: require_once(t3lib_extMgm::extPath('pagepath', 'class.tx_pagepath_api.php')); |

it worked perfectly for me in my ext.. |
| 16:10 |
paese |
kotelette that's just a notice, put down your log level |
| 16:11 |
atmos4 |
well it's poor code if it doesn't check that first place int he ext |
| 16:12 |
atmos4 |
ok, afk for a while |
| 16:13 |
kotelette |
yes i just put my loglevel up to see ... but TYPO3 throws notices anyway ;-) |
| 16:19 |
kotelette |
hehe i can see in Dmitrys pagepath that he's also creating a TSFE manually.... |
| 16:33 |
kotelette |
hmm could i be the problem that i can reach my backend via an IP only but there's a domain for the FE |
| 18:14 |
S_P |
so here's a question |
| 18:15 |
S_P |
installed Typo3, the home directory is protected (i.e. you have to login), when I'm in the CMS side, I can see the content, but I can't preview it -- yet if I log out and login without the CMS, I can see everything fine... |
| 18:15 |
S_P |
I'm using 4.2.10 |
| 18:19 |
slyngex |
hello. |
| 18:26 |
S_P |
hi |
| 18:46 |
kinea |
in typo3 4.3.0 i have the shortcut icon missing in the top bar. also the icon to set shortcuts at the bottom of the backend pages is missing. someone knows about? |
| 18:48 |
S_P |
kinea: checked the permissions on the directory? |
| 18:48 |
kinea |
S_P: where? |
| 18:49 |
kinea |
in the backend? |
| 18:49 |
kinea |
for the page, or you mean chmod |
| 18:53 |
S_P |
for the backend |
| 18:53 |
S_P |
yes chmod |
| 18:53 |
S_P |
and possibly chown and chgrp if required |
| 18:56 |
kinea |
S_P: the install tool says that all dirs are writable |
| 18:58 |
S_P |
hmmm |
| 18:58 |
S_P |
try firebug |

Is there anybody who can help me with extending a domain model from within another extension? I got problems mapping the new domain model onto the other. |
| 20:19 |
nd76 |
hello everybody... |
| 20:34 |
cdngfrog |
Thasmo: did you change the TS? |
| 20:35 |
Thasmo |
Well, yes - if you mean the mapping for extbase. |
| 20:35 |
cdngfrog |
yeah - could you nopaste it? |
| 20:35 |
Thasmo |
nopaste? |
| 20:35 |
cdngfrog |
paste it at pastebin |
| 20:35 |
cdngfrog |
;-) |
| 20:36 |
cdngfrog |
IRC does strange things to my vokabulary |
| 20:37 |
Thasmo |
Hehe. |
| 20:37 |
Thasmo |
I did it this way: http://gist.github.com/278351 |
| 20:37 |
Thasmo |
'tx_eyedea_domain_model_version_number' is the new field, which also was added in ext_tables.php for the existing table in hype_store. |
| 20:38 |
cdngfrog |
ok, but all the other fields work so far? |
| 20:39 |
Thasmo |
Yes. HypeStore is working well, but extending the Product Object of HypeStore with a new Object inside 'Eyedea' doesnt work. |
| 20:40 |
Thasmo |
The problem is, that still an object of type 'Tx_HypeStore_DOmain_Model_Product' is instantiated, and not an object of type 'Tx_Eyedea_Domain_Model_Product'. |
| 20:41 |
Thasmo |
I guess this is, because I am using this code inside my Product controller of HypeStore: '$this->productRepository = t3lib_div::makeInstance('Tx_HypeStore_Domain_Repository_ProductRepository');' |
| 20:41 |
Thasmo |
and the makeInstance function just returns the wrong object types - and i dont know if thats correct. |
| 20:41 |
Thasmo |
But I dunno how to instantiate the repository else. |
| 20:42 |
Thasmo |
And even if I create a new Tx_Eyedea_Domain_Model_Repository_ProductRepository, I wouldn't know, how to use it then inside the already exsiting extension 'HypeStore'. |
| 20:42 |
cdngfrog |
mhhh |
| 20:43 |
Thasmo |
SO I thought Extbase maybe should map it onto somehow. |
| 20:43 |
Thasmo |
But I think this is even not supported?! |
| 20:43 |
Thasmo |
At least it looks like as if, to me. |
| 20:43 |
Thasmo |
Could you maybe have a look at the Repository class? |
| 20:43 |
cdngfrog |
Did you try setting lockToDomain.mapOnProperty = lockToDomain? |
| 20:44 |
Thasmo |
locktodomain is a specific field inside the fe_users table - should have nothing to do with my extension nor extbase itself. |
| 20:45 |
cdngfrog |
Oh, sorry - was thinking in the wrong direction |
| 20:46 |
Thasmo |
What I also know, is, that it is possible to define a config parameter 'foreignClass' inside a TCA field configuration, but it would be nice to define such a class for the whole table, not only a field. |
| 20:46 |
Thasmo |
So I'm wondering how Extbase would map a table to a new, extended class. |
| 20:47 |
Thasmo |
My new model is defined as follows: class Tx_Eyedea_Domain_Model_Product extends Tx_HypeStore_Domain_Model_Product |
| 20:47 |
Thasmo |
But somehow I think, Extbase doesn't know that this new class/object should be used instead of the old one. |
| 20:48 |
cdngfrog |
mhh |
| 20:49 |
Thasmo |
I think I have to explicitly fetch the new objects using a new repository - but thats useless, as I would need to implement this code inside the HypeStore controller. |
| 20:49 |
Thasmo |
So I'D need to extend the HypeStore controller was well. |
| 20:49 |
Thasmo |
and overwrite the desired methods. |
| 20:49 |
cdngfrog |
Yeah, I think that's the point |
| 20:50 |
Thasmo |
but then i'd need to tell Extbase to somehow use the other controller ... |
| 20:50 |
Thasmo |
same game. |
| 20:51 |
Thasmo |
So, that is my problem. Any hints? xD |
| 20:59 |
cdngfrog |
Sorry, I'm clueless right now. your TS seems alright |
| 21:00 |
cdngfrog |
"And even if I create a new Tx_Eyedea_Domain_Model_Repository_ProductRepository, I wouldn't know, how to use it then inside the already exsiting extension 'HypeStore'" << what do you exactly mean? how to instanciate it? |
| 21:00 |
Thasmo |
ok |
| 21:01 |
Thasmo |
At present it's one this way, inside the HypeStore Product controller: $this->productRepository = t3lib_div::makeInstance('Tx_HypeStore_Domain_Repository_ProductRepository'); |
| 21:01 |
Thasmo |
like its also done in the BlogExample. |
| 21:01 |
cdngfrog |
yep |
| 21:02 |
Thasmo |
But this function 'makeInstance' has no logic to determine the correct class - it just searches the class given and instantiates it. |
| 21:03 |
cdngfrog |
right |
| 21:04 |
cdngfrog |
So if you have a repo in ext/eyedea/Classes/Domain/Model/Repository/ProductRepository, you'd simple load it from there |
| 21:04 |
Thasmo |
Sure, but how to get it into the HypeStore controller? |
| 21:05 |
Thasmo |
without hardcoding it into the controller? |
| 21:06 |
cdngfrog |
Either you have to hardcode it into the controller or extend the controller from another controller class where you can do the logic |
| 21:06 |
Thasmo |
I want to extend the HypeStore, not overwrite stuff ... that's the point ... hmm |
| 21:06 |
Thasmo |
Yes, but then I'd need to tell Extbase to load the new controller. How's that done? |
| 21:07 |
Thasmo |
I'd need some other mapping. xD |
| 21:07 |
cdngfrog |
phhew |
| 21:07 |
Thasmo |
Hehe. |
| 21:08 |
cdngfrog |
this is really essential |
| 21:08 |
cdngfrog |
so it _should_ work |
| 21:08 |
Thasmo |
Sorry, what should work? |
| 21:09 |
cdngfrog |
what you try to accomplish |
| 21:09 |
Thasmo |
Sorry, I don't understand. It should. But it doesn't? |
| 21:10 |
cdngfrog |
I mean extbase should support it. But I don't really know how and if it does |
| 21:10 |
Thasmo |
K. |
| 21:11 |
Thasmo |
I guess I need to write a topic on the mailing list tho. |
| 21:24 |
Thasmo |
Sent one -let's hope. |
