You could also go with commerce, extending the products and articles, which then could be put into the basket. But commerce is imho an extension for large shops with a lot of functionality. Prefered also if you have a lot of categories or a deep category-hierarchy. |

No, the 'basket' is stored in the session. You have to store the product-uid and the amount in the session. And in your basket code, you read the session, and using the product-uid, you can get the product data from the DB. |
