00:08 Denyerec Wordpress ;/
00:08 Denyerec (seriously)
00:12 sperber hehe - let me redefine that question - which extension inside typo3 would you use to blog? :p
00:14 Denyerec I never have I'm afraid.
00:14 Denyerec I think people say that T3blog is eaiser to handle than TimTab
00:14 Denyerec TimTab looked like a nasty clash of many extensions
00:16 sperber isn't that the idea of extensions - to use what's around
00:16 sperber at least that is what kasper mentioned in his podkast about timtab
00:17 sperber and i've already used it - but not sure whether i want to go through the whole process again
01:03 Denyerec well
01:03 Denyerec The issue with using such a web of extensions for one purpose is I guess that if they don't all move forward together, you're kinda stuffed.
01:06 sperber true - but last time i used it it worked fine (as soon as it worked)
06:20 [1]brutuz is there a way for typo3 to connect to mysql on a non standard port?
11:44 schabracke hey there! one question about rgmediaimages
11:44 schabracke i only get broken images links if i implement swf/flv videos on my startpage
12:14 schabracke if i firebug on it: <img src="" width=""boder"0"alt=""?="">
12:14 schabracke i have no clue
12:30 kinea o/
16:28 Golgata hey everybody! i'm creating an extension for frontend-managed datasets and looking for a good way to make these editable for frontend-users. is there an easy function for doing this in some library?
18:23 romx ðóññêèå òóò?
18:27 romx hello
18:27 romx anybody
18:27 romx here
18:28 Thasmo i dont know xD
18:29 romx tell me ext for e-shop?
18:30 romx good for small rewrite
18:30 Thasmo I know 'commerce' and 'tt_products'.
18:30 romx tt_products what do you think
18:30 romx webformat?
18:30 Thasmo Commerce is a lot bigger I think. YOu could try tt_products.
18:31 Thasmo what do you mean by webformat?
18:31 romx people said that it has bad code style
18:31 romx ext webformat
18:31 Thasmo I dont know of a lot extensions with a consistent code style. xD
18:31 romx extendedshop
18:32 Thasmo SOrry, I don't get you.
18:33 romx mplete shop
18:33 romx http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/extendedshop/current/
18:34 Thasmo I don't know this one.
18:35 romx don't you think that tt_products is little bit complicate ?
18:35 Thasmo But putting the whole logic into a single 135kb file isn't a good coding style imho.
18:36 Thasmo I havent dont much with tt_products yet, but the small bit I saw, was promising. Maybe there are better shops - I dont know.
18:37 romx all i need is:prospective extension and to put in basket my own data
18:39 Thasmo You could also go with commerce, extending the products and articles, which then could be put into the basket. But commerce is imho an extension for large shops with a lot of functionality. Prefered also if you have a lot of categories or a deep category-hierarchy.
18:41 romx ok tnk
20:15 romx Thasmo: here?
20:15 Thasmo Ye.
20:17 romx Thasmo: can you tell me if i am not loggined in, i am shopping on site my basket remember me how (i know cookie but whole mechanism?)
20:18 Thasmo you want to persist the shopping cart items while you're not logged in?
20:19 romx Thasmo: yes , my system do it, but i want to know the algoritm
20:20 Thasmo Sorry, what algorithm? What system are you using?
20:21 Thasmo Basically I'd say it could work with storing and retrieving all the data using a PHP session.
20:21 romx Thasmo: general algoritm that any shopping card use. for ex. I click add to basket and what happen nex
20:22 romx after click -cookie recieve something yes?
20:22 Thasmo No, not cookie directly, the PHP session.
20:22 romx php sesion works like id?
20:22 Thasmo http://de2.php.net/manual/en/ref.session.php
20:23 Thasmo yes
20:23 Thasmo a session is user-specific
20:23 romx and than from DB retrieve whole basket by id?
20:24 Thasmo No, the 'basket' is stored in the session. You have to store the product-uid and the amount in the session. And in your basket code, you read the session, and using the product-uid, you can get the product data from the DB.
20:24 Thasmo you only store product ID and the amount in the session.
20:25 romx the only thing i wanna know is -is it true that basket items should be stored somewhere in DB?
20:27 Thasmo Well, depends. Basically if you are NOT logged in, it may be enough to store the data in the session or a cookie. If you're logged in, then it may be smarter to store the data in the DB.
20:28 romx Thasmo: i am interested in temp basket because i didn't find any sign of data in db
20:29 Thasmo So it's maybe stored in the session.
20:31 romx Thasmo: ses is uniq? from ses i can retrieve my data stored(encoded prev) fro ex.. several id?
20:32 Thasmo The session is unique to a user - yes.
20:38 Thasmo Did that answer your question?
20:39 romx Thasmo: no reply to seconf part
20:40 romx ses is random or with sense
20:40 Thasmo the id of the session?
20:43 romx wait iam testing something
20:58 romx Thasmo: finaly i understand what happen)
20:58 Thasmo ok =o)
20:59 romx Thasmo: the data was stored to another system table fe_user_data or someth and there were blob (binary data i couldn't see)
20:59 Thasmo ah ok - which shop are you using?
21:00 romx extendshop
21:00 romx i sghow u
21:00 romx in tt_products the same i think
21:01 Thasmo I see.
21:05 romx Thasmo: pretty cool)
21:08 Thasmo whats the exact table name?
21:10 romx fe_session_data
21:11 romx http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/references/doc_core_tsref/4.1.0/view/14/1/
21:11 Thasmo ah hehe
21:11 Thasmo yeah thats the session data of the user
21:11 Thasmo FeUser_Auth class.
21:12 Thasmo http://typo3.org/fileadmin/typo3api-4.2.6/df/da9/classtslib__feUserAuth.html#43b80d75d3d43fa271ba54a4a2666817
22:07 Thasmo Hoi cdngfrog. =o)
